Jetblue and getting bumped

I know it sounds crazy, but DH and I actually don't mind getting bumped if the deal is sweet enough. We used to travel Airtran and had a few good bumps, but we are flying Jetblue in a few weeks. Any experience with getting a bump from Jetblue?

No experience here with JetBlue, but I have heard that that particular airline doesn't oversell, and that bumps are extremely rare. This may be an old policy, but it's what I understand. Good luck on your flight!

An involuntary bump is extremely unlikely, as JetBlue doesn't oversell.

I agre with the above two poster. I've volunteered to get bumped on jeBlue before, and...no luck. I did lose my selected seat. Think i ended up with the dreaded middle seat, but i was on the right flight.

We have flown Jetblue 7 times in 2 years. Not once have they announced they were looking for anyone to be bumped to a later flight.

During that same time span, we flew AirTran one time. The first thing they ask for when we arrive at the gate.....volunteers to be bumped . And funnily enough, the flight they were bumping the party of three to was.....a Jetblue flight .

We have seen a few folks waiting to fly standby, but as of yet....no Jetblue bumps.

As previous posters have stated, I don't believe JetBlue oversells their flights, though the chance of a bump is not likely.

When we flew them for our last trip, we were coming back from MCO, and there were a few people who were waiting to fly standby but no bumps.

It was our first experience flying JetBlue and we were thrilled. The Even More Space seats are worth every penny, good snacks, the TV at each seat. We are spolied now and will not fly any other airline when we go to Disney.
