I'm sorry to hear you got pickpocketed! What did they take? This is one of my fears?

Only about $25...mad money for the day. Had a money belt with serious cash. I had cargo pants with low pocket on the right. It had a flap with strips of velcro on either side. Their hand got between the strips, about an inch and a half wide. I didn't see who did it, but they do train young kids to do this because of their small hands. Women keep their hand bags/purses on short straps up close and tight under their arms. There are videos on YouTube about pickpockets in Barcelona...check them out and do enjoy your trip.

when traveling I never tell myself what time it is at home. When I land I keep active and am usually throughtly exhausted at bed time.

One other thing I do is as soon as I sit down on the plane, I change my watch to the time where i'm going. That way it's done and I don't have the mental thing when I land. (I use the same tactic for the stupid time change in the US...I try to find something to do the evening before, but I change all my clocks that I can before I go out. Something about having a little time between changing the clocks and really looking at them again makes it a little easier.)
