I apologize in advance  as I'm sure this has been asked and covered before, however I cant find the answer. I'm thinking of booking Jet Blue for April 8th (Easter Sunday) for $116 OW, JFK to MCO, I think this is a good price but just wondering, if I book it and then the price goes down can I call and get a credit for this flight or a future flight? Do I have to hope the agent takes pity on me when i call or is it a matter of course that they ( Jet Blue) will just do this? My family, DD, DSinL, and 2 DGC princess: :earsboy: ,will be at OLCC, they are driving down :sad2: , Saturday, April7th. I was going to fly in April 7th, but the fares are so much cheaper on the 8th. Haven't yet decided if I will drive back with them at the end of the week,or if I will book a flight back also. Anyway, would I get some kind of credit if the fare goes lower after I book? Thanks, Karen

Yes, if you call they will issue a credit for the difference toward a future flight. No, they won't do it as a matter of course, you have to request it. My credit is in my TrueBlue (JetBlue's Frequent Flyer program) account; I suppose if you don't have one set up they will open one for you, or you may need to do that online first. VERY simple, just click on the True Blue tab.
There's no service charge or change fee if you're not changing your flights.

Thanks kaytieeldr, I do have a true blue account as I mostly fly Jet Blue. You say that you have to call and ask.......so is it up to the individual agent, or is it their policy to do so :confused3 . Just wondering if you have to be really reallly nice and fall on their mercy, hoping they haven't had a bad day, or if it is their policy to do so. Of course I would be nice in any case :goodvibes , would just feel better if I knew it wasn't a matter of luck. Thanks again, Karen

It's their policy. I called a few weeks ago and did this. On a side note every time I've called JetBlue (3-4 times) the people I speak to are ALWAYS so nice and helpful, very good customer service in my opinion. :wizard:

Thank you Tink, you're correct. Everytime I've called they've been very nice also. I really like Jet Blue.

I just called Jet Blue about my flights for Nov 2006. I booked them in April and then each flight went down $10 in July so I called and got a $40 credit for DH and my tickets. Just got an e-mail from Jet Blue that they are having a sale. I checked our flights again. Our flight to Orlando went down $30 so I called again and DH and I now have $100 credit towards our next flight! We are going in Nov 2006 and I am now thinking about booking again for Feb 07 to use our credits!!! They were put in my True Blue account but I was told that anyone in the family can use them!

My advice is to keep checking your flights if you book with Jet Blue!!! :Pinkbounc

KEEP CHECKING!

I have a whopping 240$ credit in my true blue account. Guess we will have to plan another trip to WDW in the next year:cool1: :cool1: !!!!

Last Thanksgiving I had 5 one way tickets to San Juan. The tickets went down so much that I ended up with a $525.00 credit witch paid for most of my tickets this time. I love Jet Blue and their Customer Service is great.

I called JB yesterday and got $60 credit applied to my JB account. Then, today I noticed one of my flights went down yet again...called them back this morning...got another $20 credit. That $80 credit is going to come in handy for my trip to Tampa!!

I must be the only person whose flights haven't moved at all. We booked our September flights out of Newark (this Saturday) in April and neither of my flights have gone below where I booked ($89/each way) during any of the sales. I also have November tickets (NJ Teachers Convention week) out of JFK, since Newark was so high when they came out and I booked at $217/rt. Those are up over $250/OW and haven't moved at all. I also have first weekend in February booked out of Newark and those haven't moved either.

Wish I could have gotten a small credit from one of these trips to use but no such luck. And I check multiple times a day.

I booked our Oct 9th flight on 6/20. I paid $207.10 each RT (less a $40 credit from a previous trip). I got another $20.00 credit on 7/26 and another $50 credit today, bringing the price down to $137.10 RT per ticket.
I used the $40 yesterday to book another trip for end of Sept which made that trip $117 RT with the credit.
This is fun, but you have to be on top of things, and you have to initiate the call to JetBlue to get the credit.

You gotta love Jet Blue. When I bought my tickets they were $89.00 one way. Not bad right. Well a few weeks later they went down to $79.00 each way. :cheer2: I was so happy to get the credit. Well yesterday I was reading the paper and they are down to $59.00. Now our family of 6 has a $300 credit. Where should we go next???? :cloud9:

Pam :cool1:

As I said to the JB rep yesterday..."Calling JB all the time to get a credit is much nicer than calling Delta all the time to get my seats reassigned!!" She was quite happy that I felt that way.

Jet Blue is AWSOME about this...they are also awsome about getting back to you about questions and concerns!
