We have never flown Jet Blue before but are considering them for our next trip. We like their one free bag, and no fee for seat assignments plus their have direct flights schedule exactly at the days and times that we are looking for (hoping they don't change their schedule).
However, their pricing is still fairly higher than other airlines (such as Air Tran) even if I add in the cost of baggage and seat assignments. I know Air Tran's sale pattern but have no idea about Jet Blue.
For example Air Tran usually does pretty good sales on air fares in mid-to-late February for late spring trips (May/June) so I know to wait for the sale before booking. However I don't know anything about Jet Blue. Do they do sales in the same manner? Does anyone know what their normal "sale" pattern is, if they have one (i.e. they put spring flight on sale in February, etc.)? Or does their price correspond to the number of unbooked seats on the flight?
Thanks!
