Hi,

I can't believe that company!!! We were planning on booking Continental for $211 per person, but just for fun I checked out Jet Blue! They are offering $70 round trip for a total of $230 with tax for three people!! Can anyone who has used Jet Blue explain how they are so cheap for flights? How big are the seats? How nice is everything?!?!?

Mike!!

WOW!!! That is SO awesome!! I wish they'd fly out of Hartford or Boston or something!

They operate much like SWA in their pricing, but from what I hear, the Jetblue seats are larger & you have your own little TV screen with DIRECTv... Man, what I wouldn't give to find that fare out of Hartford!!!

Jet blue is awesome. I didn't think the seats were any bigger than on any other airline but they are leather and as comfortable as airline coach seats can be. The individual TVs with DSS are awesome and make the flight just fly by (no pun intended!). They have assigned seating, so they differ from southwest in that way. They also have their own terminal at JFK... it's a pretty small terminal but not too bad. The one thing is you won't get a meal service, but they have a series of cute ads talking about how people would rather have free tv than crappy airline food and I agree... I just had my dad (who makes the best sandwiches!) pack my hubby and I a "lunch" for the flight since we flew at lunchtime and it was about 100x more enjoyable having a bag lunch and tv than airline food.

Anyway, I wish we lived in NY right now because I would love to take advantage of jet blue's fares! Even if they didn't have super low fares I think it is even worth it to pay a little bit MORE to fly on them.

We have been using Jet Blue for the last 2 years (The Grandma and the Grandpa live in FL) and wouldn't fly any other way with the Kids. They love having the TV and are as quiet as can be for the 2 1/2 hour flight. We don't miss the meals (most airlines don't even give them anymore anyway) and their service is great. The rate you got is just awesome. With costs like that we would go to FL more often.

ENJOY!!!

Mike--Could you tell me how you found that fare? I checked online and called and was quoted 94.00 each way as the best they could do from JFK to MCO. This is for August 2-8. I would love to get the 70.00 round trip rate!

Hi,

I typed in July 30th - Augst 9th and it came up with that *specia* internet fare!

Mike

Are you sure that is round trip? I tried same dates and it is $69. each way? At 70. r/t we can't afford NOT to go.

Ok, I feel very very very very very very very very very stupid. You are correct its $70 both ways. I'm sorry to everyone for getting your hopes up! I read the first half of the page and saw that total, so I assumed it was for both flights!

sorry :(
Mike

I think Jet Blue is a great airline. The seats do seem larger to me and are so comfortable. Also, the personal tvs are great, you can watch what you want and it makes the time pass so much quicker. So what if there is no food? It's only 2 hours, 45 min. to get there from JFK. You get a drink and either a bag of snack mix or blue potato chips. Yes, I said blue, they are the weirdest looking things, but taste ok. I also found the attendants to be friendlier than most.

We are flying on 8/20- 8/28 and their fares were the cheapest I could find, $495 incl tax for three people ($165 per person) They have different prices for different times of the day, so instead of flying home late Wed night, which would have cost more, we are flying early afternoon which cost less. I added an extra night at the BC at the beginning of our trip because of the cheaper fare. It only figured out to be a few dollars more. Thanks Jet Blue for letting us extend our stay!

I have used Jet Blue from JFK Airport in New York each of my last three trips to Orlando. These is simply an awesome airline. the kids love the television in every seatback, and the service is fantastic. I also had the privelage of working with their "behind the scenes" people since I worked at JFK for four years. This is a wonderful company, and their employees really love working for them. Of course, this makes for better customer service too.:D I would and do highly recommend Jet Blue to all travelers.

Any idea if Jet Blue has any plans to extend their airline to fly out of other airports...like Philadelphia???

We have also used JetBlue, for flights from Buffalo NY to NYC, and we LOVE it! The staff is awesome, and really down-to-earth. The TV's are great! The seats ARE bigger, becuase all the other flights we have taken we seem to feel squished into the seats, not with JetBlue! We would HIGHLY recommend it!
