Jet Blue Refunds ?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience in cancelation their reservation with Jet Blue. I also got antsy waiting for SW to come out with the later Sept dates and booked with Jet Blue for around $215 rt from Boston. I was wondering if I was able to get a SW fare for the $120 rt that we had in March - could we could get Jet Blue credit for a future flight. I read the Jet Blue website - but was a little unsure how it would work. Right now I have four tix - two for myself and my DD and two for my neighbors. Would I just get a total $ credit or would I have to rebook the same passengers?

jet blue gives a credit that is good for one year

They do not give refunds, but will give you credit to use at future Jetblue flights equal to what you paid for your canceled flight minus $30.00.

We had to cancel our flights in 2004 and they applied the credit to my TrueBlue account, I was able to rebook tickets for anyone with the credit.

Also wanted to say hello to fellow Mainer! By the way are you aware that Jetblue flies out of Portland now? For us they are actually cheaper out of Portland then out of Boston.

Hello future Mainer!

Yes, there is a layover flying from Portland at JFK. Unfortunately Portland does not have direct flights yet. As far as when flying out of Boston, and parking we always fly first thing in the morning so we drive down after work the night before and we stay at one of the hotels where they offer park and fly option. Always worked out cheaper for us then paying the parking fee at Logan.

We are flying out of Boston since it was cheaper for the return flight on Sunday. Also its a direct flight, the Portland flights stops in NY. My parents live in Andover so they will be able to take us and pick us up from Logan. My coworker usually takes the bus from Portland to Logan which saves her money for an extended trip. I am glad Jet Blue is finally in Portland - hopefully we will get some better fares now. I am trying to fly to MN next week and the fares out of Portland are $1000, Bos is only $300.

Glad to know about the credit as we'll be heading back to FL in March, then with DH and DD2. Our Sept trip is a surprise birthday trip for my DD - I am so excited!
