I just recieved an advertisement for those of you thinking about flying to Long Beach in early September from Sac International....

Jet Blue is offering $45 each way. Our flights were already booked for 9/10 and returning on 9/15 (we booked back in May) @ $69 each way. Hopefully someone can take advantage of this offer....

wow nice. I was looking into Jet blue as well but ended up using Southwest. I to am flying out of Sacramento on 9/16 to 9/23. We got our tickets originally for $49 each way to Orange county but then they had a special going where it dropped to $30 each way. COULDN'T beat that deal. So now we have a good amount of credit to use for a future flight.:cool1:

could you not get a refund since the flight went down in price???

Y'know, I never thought of that...maybe, I guess it's worth a call...

We have used SW in the past, I just hate waiting until the last minute to book flights. I get freaked out that the flight times won't be available. Hmmm...maybe I'll give Jet Blue a call tomorrow! Thanks for the suggestion ;)

Just wanted to say this happened to us back in May. Our flights that we had already booked went on sale for $39 each way. I called and was given the difference as a credit to be used within one year. Definately call!

Call and get a credit you will use it later. I call even if it only goes down 3 bucks saving money is saving money.

Those are great prices, but it's still $360 for 4 people to fly so we will just stick to driving. :)

We're flying Jet Blue ~ SLC to LGB in Sept! Prices went down to $55 each way earlier this week, this is the 2nd time I've called in for a credit ~ think we started out at $69 each way. We love Jet Blue!

Thank you for posting this. I just booked our November trip from San Jose to Long Beach. $44 going and $29 return. Can't beat that! :cool1: :cool1:

I would drive, but I'm not so good in the car for that long

Suisun City is near the bay area, right?

Oh 6 hrs is nothing, sure it gets boring but it's better than the 10 hrs it takes to get to my Mom's. LOL Yes, we are halfway between Sac & SF off Hwy 12.

Gotcha, I have heard of it, just didn't know exactly where it was.....

I could definately handle the boring part...it's the car sickness that gets me! Where does you Mom live? I remember driving from Salem (OR.) to here, I was miserable the whole time, about 10 hours in a clunky old U-haul box truck.

Mom lives in Idaho, near the Oregon border. We have to drive thru NV, talk about boring.....LOL those salt flats put I5 to shame! LOL Ya, I'm about 40-50 min. from Sac depending on traffic, when you're heading down 80 towards SF you drive thru Fairfield, well Suisun is the sister city to FF, we share school districts. :)

So not for August, huh? Too bad for us!

Thanks for posting this anyway - good info!

It doesn't hurt to check for August (depends on the dates, you never know! The end of August were $45 each way (I think I did the 26th & 31st to find out).

Just an FYI, if you do end up calling for credits, set up your True Blue Rewards account prior to calling, then you don't have to call back after you set up an account. They put your credits on your True Blue account so that you can use them in the future. You have a year to use them, and they will give you more credits back if the prices go down even further! :cool1:
