Jet Blue Credits - Transferable?

My sister's familiy (2 adults/3 children) is joining us at Disney in March. Jet Blue has some decent non-stop flight times out of Portland but the price is a litte steep (works out to $370/person).

I've read that if the price drops you can get a credit to your Jet Blue account. My sister doesn't travel as much as DH & I - any credit she gets may just expire.

Can credits be used by someone else (i.e. could I buy them from her)? Or do credits have to be used by the original purchaser?

Yes, they can be transferred! We did this last year when I had over $200 in credit, but it was going to expire without me being able to use it. We knew a couple who was getting married and honeymooning in WDW, so I called JB and was able to transfer it to them to use for their flights. It was a great wedding gift for them.

I just used a huge credit I had in my name to buy tickets for my DS and his DGF from SYR to MCO. No problems! I entered my True Blue number on line and filled in their names. When I got to the screen to pay, the credit popped up and I used that. Very easy and Customer friendly! But that is JB! Only other airline I would say that about is Qantas! Another very efficient airline. Used them for 9 flights in one month and not a bit of trouble!
