Jet Blue crazy increase?!

It's Thursday and tomorrow is 4th of July. i"m pretty sure the prices will go down net week. I find that with jetblue their prices go up as you get closer to the weekend. I tend to buy on Tuesday. if you are scare that it might go up, you can alwasy purchase and continue to check prices, if it goes down, call them and ask for a credit for the difference. the credit is good for a year

I'm not likely to fly anywhere in the next several years. So a credit won't do me any good. sigh....
I don't suppose you can give the credit to a relative? :)

If it's any consolation, I booked the minute I'm able to do so.

I was on Kayak looking for flights back in March & april, & they had flights from NYC to MCO for $368 Waay too much for 1 person let alone multiply by 4... Plus it didn't have Jet Blue flights for Nov. 1

It was frustrating, because we'll never fly Delta or united AGAIN:sad2: Constantly changing flights, and rebooking..It's so annoying..

When my sister found out that Jet blue was opening up there flights on a sunday in April we wiated till lunch to pounce on the phone....What we were able to get was the 1st flight out at 6:00 am & got a return flight later in the evening at like 8 pm, so we can spend the final day near the pool.

We got it for $ 948...Well I checked a few days ago & the exact flights to n from were $2480...a HUGE difference....There were cheaper ones ,but nothing near what we got, & also nothing near the times we got either....The best we found was $1300, but instead of leeaving at 6 am it was a 5:30 pm flight, and returning at 7 am...Who wants to wake up at 3 am only to have DME pick u up at 4am..:confused3 Not Me...

OP hopefully the fares return for you...

yes, we're also X4 but ended Up paying 260pp Thanks To The credit. We could've gotten a $181 flight each but that was a 6 am flight out and we're already missing out the first day arriving at 7pm, for work related reasons I couldn't book an earlier flight that day. :(

Today, the return flight that was 225 (at least we leave at 2pm) when I booked is at 244, I'll continue to monitor. If it's enough of a credit, I'll go to Boston or something for the weekend, wherever they have a promo for on a weekend that works for me!!!

Even with owning dvc, this trip is still a fortune!!

Yes you can. My mom became ill and I had to cancel she and my dad's flights to Orlando for a trip we had planned. She passed away a few weeks later. I rebooked the trip for just myself, DH and DD (dad didn't want to go) and was able to use that credit then and actually still have some leftover that I'm going to use when I book for April 2015. You have a year to use it.
