Jet Blue change/cancellation question

Hi-Looking at air fare for this summer with Jet Blue-I saw this on their sight:

We're waiving change/cancel fees for customers with existing bookings made through February 28, 2021

Do I understand it correctly, that if I book prior to 2/28, for August, I could change or cancel up to my travel date in August? Air fare actually came down for the flight I was looking at, so I thought if I booked now at least I could change or cancel if needed. Your thoughts? Just wanted to double check I understood it correctly.

Yes, you can now change or cancel your flight without paying a fee. The catch is, if you cancel, you won't get a refund, you'll get a flight credit with an expiration date, instead.

Yeah, if you book before the end of February (that date may get extended), you can change or cancel your flight before flying in August.

If you initiate the change or cancelation, you pay any fare difference and anything that should be refunded to you will go.into a travel bank. You have one year from the date you change or cancel to use the travel bank credit.
Note: This policy only applies to the first change or cancellation you initiate on the flight. If you change the flight multiple times, the rules may no longer apply.

If Jetblue cancels your flight, funds will be returned to the form of payment used.

thanks everyone, I actually booked this weekend for our August trip-fare was pretty good, and it was a morning flight, which we like!
