Jet Blue and Changes

Does anyone have experiences with changes to their tickets on JetBlue....not a reduction in price, but actual changes by the travellers-changing who is going on the flight? changing which airport? etc. Can it be done? What is the cost?

If I cancel, do I lose the $$, or does JetBlue credit my account for future use?

DD may have an opportunity to fly to Finland with the Amabile choir for the Sympaatti Choral Festival in Espoo. That would put the K-bosh on our Disney trip.

Thinking a few scenarios....go solo, take DH instead, fly closer to home(right now we are booked out of Syracuse, which is closer for her), bank any credits(?) until next year, Can I "gift" credits (if I were to get them)? Trying to think the possibilities through. I'm very excited for her, since the trip was a "consolation" for NOT being able to afford the Finland trip. Someone has come out of the blue to pay for 3/4 of the trip. Exciting for her but a wee bit disappointing for me. If there is any way to salvage some of the money, I'd be happier.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
And, yes, I know, I should have bought insurance. I didn't, and I will pay the price.

you can't change passengers' names as far as i know. you'd have to cancel and rebook at the current rate. the cancellation/change fee is $25 online, $30 over the phone.

changing flight (destination) is the same deal. $25 to change flight online, $30 over the phone, plus price difference. i don't think you can technically change airports online - i've only done it over the phone.

i believe you have until 1 hour before your flight to cancel without forfeiting the funds, but don't quote me on that. you get JB credit minus the cancellation fee.

Thanks, Brad. The CSR said that I have a year from cancellation to use the funds. Hopefully, something will come up for me next year at this time.
