Should I do it? I do not need 6 suitcases, one each will be fine, s luggage prices do not factor in this.

Do it! JetBlue is light years better than Southwest! And you get a seat assignment!

Heck, I'd do Jet Blue even if it was a few dollars more than Southwest.

Thanks, I went ahead and booked (DH is on business and I had no one to bounce it off of). Seat assignments, participates with Magical Express, seems like it will be fine for us. Plus we do not have to be to the airport at 6 am, 10 am is so much better! I can't believe how much less than Southwest this was!

Definitely sounds like a good deal, I would jump on it as well.

Last week in July from Buffalo to Orlando
First week in August from Orlando to Buffalo
Under 800 for three flights versus just a bit under 1000.

Nice deal. We found that Jet Blue from Reagan National was more than $230 cheaper than Southwest from BWI. $368 vs. $600+

I fly either JB or SW to MCO as a rule. I seldom have more than one bag to check, so baggage fees aren't an issue for me. I will actually pay a bit more to fly with whichever airline gives me the best flight times. They each have their strong points.
All things being equal? I would fly JB. I love that darned TV!!!

Unless you think you might need to change your flight, I'd go with JB! Love the TVs and having an assigned seat. I do love that SWA doesn't charge change fees - that has come in handy a couple of times.

Going on our first JB flight tomorrow. They were a bit more than SW but had better times and those tv's. Plus, the assigned seating - we are no long able to family board with SW. We only bring 2 suitcases between the 4 of us so that wasn't a problem. They did change my flight time once but I called and was able to get on a more convenient flight for no fees. They said if the time change is greater than 45 minutes they would switch you.

As PP mentioned, if you want to switch your flight to no fault of theirs, there will be a change fee (unlike SW).

I'm really excited, I have heard great things about them.

If Jetblue flew to Orlando from BWI (DC and Philly airports are impractical for me), I would fly them. TV's in the seats, first bag free (which is all I need usually) and very good snacks make them worth the money.

Hehehe...
I was just curious because of the description of your location in your signature. I knew you had to be somewhere pretty close to me! I'm in Syracuse.

Congrats on the price, wish it was like that in Boston ...just booked last night for mid October, JB to Orlando and SW coming back ...JB was $50 more per ticket but had a better flight time.

I have the option of driving 45 minutes to JFK and taking Jetblue, or driving 15 minutes to my local Long Island airport and taking Southwest.

I always take Jetblue :). PLUS, they have Dunkin Donuts coffee! :thumbsup2

When Southwest started flying out of Newark to Orlando I looked into it; but they dont fly non-stop, so it would have taken us over 6 hours to get to Orlando and about $200 more.

Jet Blue Baby!

I absolutely hate flying but...I found fares for $120 on jetblue Vermont to mco one way for dec. It seems like such a good deal I just might have to swallow my fears and do it! I am just so afraid of a nor'easter delayin my trip. The next cheapest tickets I have found were over $200 oneway?? 304 rt?? I'll be traveling with 4 kids so the seat assignments are a plus!

I am someone else who doesn't enjoy flying.

That said, I find flying Jetblue to be really quite nice. The individuals TV's make a huge difference. A couple episodes of my favourite show and voila, we're in Florida.

Time passes pretty quickly when you have something to watch that you enjoy, a great selection of snacks to munch on, and enough room in your seat that you don't feel like a sardine. The staff are super nice and very accomodating.

I also love the channel on the TV that allows you to see the plane's current positions on a map (also the aircraft speed and altitude).....its neat to be able to visibly see that you have already made it half way, three quarters of the way, etc.

Just so's you know, Southwest participates. Southwest is the only non-stop to Orlando from Albany, NY and Jetblue does not fly out of Albany, so that limits our choice.
