Jersey Week in November

Can anyone help me out with what "Jersey Week" is all about? I've seen reference to it in November which is when I'm planning my next vacation. I've been there at other times when there were cheerleaders that took over the resort, so I want to try to avoid busy times like that. Thanks for any tips!!

Jersey week is when the schools in NJ are closed on Thursday and Friday for teachers convention. Many famililes take the whole week off so they go to Disney. It is not as bad as the cheerleading week. I've gone many times that week and it is fine.

I read somewhere ( don't remember where) that it will be 11/6-11/11 or 12.
We went this past November during Jersey Week, Food & Wine Festival, and Soap Opera Weekend. While it was substantially more crowdwd than in 2003, it was do-able IF you had a plan. As for me, I think next time we will try one of the first 3 weeks of December.
