Hi all -
Just back from fabulous week at the world. Here are some quick thoughts on on our meals (no dining plan):

Raglan Road - Not as good as we remembered from 2009. Our waiter was AWFUL. No mention of specials (overheard another waiter filling in his table), and no bread ever made it our way. I had Sheperd's pie, decent but not memorable. DH had the bangers and mash - he felt the same decent but not particularly memorable. Food was lukewarm. I made this ressie because of the bread pudding I have been craving for 2 years, and sadly while it was good, just didn't seem quite as good as I remembered. :confused3

Tusker house breakfast - Very good. You get all the major characters and had some good interactions. Food was solid and you also get some more exotic choices. And the JUICE! Yum!

Restaurantosaurus - Never went here before - just split an adult portion of chicken nuggets (so much better than those weird nuggets in the kids meals!) and the fries were good here - hot and crisp. Like the atmosphere! We ate in the Airstream section - very kitschy!

T.Rex - just OK. We felt the same way last time, but for the atmosphere it was a must-do for the kids. I had the fish tacos - kind of dry - needed a little oomph. DH had the pulled pork sandwich - I like it a lot more than my tacos, he thought it s dry. Skipped dessert and hit Goofy's candy Co. for make-our-own treats. Very good, though I felt like 8.95 for three pretzel rods was highway robbery.

Sci-Fi - Ate here twice! First time was planned but the meal was so good we came back for more. Plus you cannot beat the atmosphere and the kids stay occupied; mom and get a relaxing meal!
First meal was Angus cheeseburger for me - subbed in onions rings for 2.99. YUM. Ate the whole thing. DH was being virtuous at this meal and has a veggie burger and sweet potato fries. He liked it a lot. Those fries were delish! I had the red velvet cheesecake - which was pretty good, but I wouldn't go out of my way. It used to be layered slab, but now it it is a weird cone ting with a white chocolate shell. DH had a shake which was good but sadly comes from a machine now. More like soft-serve than a real shake.
Meal two - I had the shrimp pasta which was yummy if a bit oily. DH went all out and got the picnic burger (burger with 2 hot dogs on top plus sauerkraut and onions, ketchup, mustard and I forget what else. He subbed in the sweet potato fries for regular fires again. No desserts this time but DH got another strawberry shake.

Columbia Harbor House - Ordered a tuns sandwich and subbed out white bread. For some reason they gave me 2 whole sandwiches - maybe because the white bread is smaller than the whole grain? ore than enough food for me the DHand the kids! We were still full-ish from Sci-Fi lunch so this was perfect.

Food and Wine lunch - made pigs of ourselves on our Epcot day for lunch - no losers in the bunch - Pork sliders, Hawaii, Belgian waffles, Mussels from Belgium (baguette was stale), lamb slider, sea scallop, empanadas, rib-eye taco. All very good and so much fun to at our way around the world. Lunch time lines were very manageable.

Biergarten - Very good and so much fun. One of our favorites. Roast pork and chicken were very good. Cauliflower soup was delish! Salads were all yummy. Enjoyed the cheesecake for dessert.

Cosmic Rays - Got the chicken sandwioch - average - should have gotten the greek salad I saw some one with - looked huge and fresh! DH hit the veggie burger with a side of chili cheese fries - he said he was trying to balance out the damage, lol! Chili cheese fries were very good.

Ohana - was very excited about this but it was hit or miss. Hits: Grilled shrimp was huge and delicious - steak was also quite good although one serving came out cold. And the dessert!!!! This more than made up for being let down by the bread pudding at RR - holy mother of bread pudding - I will dream about that dessert!!! Oh and veggies, let's not forget those - crisp and tasty - thumbs up
Misses - pork was sawdust dry. Noodles mushy. But the biggest issue was that everything came out all at once, within about 5 minutes of sitting down. Before we even had drinks. Boom- Boom- Boom. Salad, pot stickers & wings,
noodles and veg, and meat on sticks - literally within 5 minutes. We paced ourselves, but then everything got cold - very odd. Kids enjoyed entertainment.

Yak and Yeti - Average - Honey chicken was OK but nothing special. DH had Asian chicken salad he said was OK. Just wanted to try something other than Flametree and Restaurantosaurus.

Hoop De Doo - food all very good though we felt the ribs tasted a bit too much of liquid smoke. I missed the entire middle of the show due to some (soon to be ex) in law drama. Oy. Kids loved it!

Earl of Sandwich - verry yummy - reasonably priced. Longlines but moved quickly. I had the Original < DH had Jerk Chicken (that wasn't very jerk tasting but was still good). One kid had tuna melt which was good - little one shunned his grilled cheese and ate mine, go figure!
