Now the final post some of you have asked for - what did it cost? We left New Jersey on 11/3 and drove down, stopping overnite, and arriving on 11/4. We stayed until 11/11 and got home on 11/12. It was me, DW, DD and MIL. The spending I'm listing does not include MIL - just what it cost the 3 of us. It isn't 100% accurate because for food, I just took 3/4 of our total spending rather than actually subtracting exactly what MIL ate, but it's close enough. I also haven't included some food we brought from home, like a couple of boxes of breakfast cereal, some home-baked goodies, etc. But I figure we would have eaten those same things if we had been home anyway.

Gas - $225.42
Hotels on road and house in Florida: $414.76
Park admission - $530.37
Park parking - $50.00
Gifts and souvenirs - $411.28
Food - $467.78

Total - $2,099.61

The food breaks down to $19.49 per person per day. That is also what we averaged on our 2 previous WDW trips. (That is also what we averaged on our summer vacation in Vermont this year and our summer vacation last year in California, so $20/person/day seems to be our magic number.)

Our park admission came in the form of 5 remaining days on the 10-day hoppers we bought last year. The price I used is half what we paid for those tickets in 2005.

Happy to answer any questions.

Thank you. I'm glas you posted a picture with the crew from the Lion King. Your dd is growing up so fast. In a few weeks I am going to bump all your posts to the completed board, would you mind if I merged them when I bump them up, then they will all be in one post.

Yes, DD is now a tad taller than DW, much to DW's dismay.

I've got no problem with you merging them. However you usually handle those things is fine. I do think it would be nice to leave this thread seperate, though, because I know a lot of people who are planning trips like to see spending reports without having to read all the other stuff. Whichever you think is best.

Hi DisneySteve,

I was at Animal Kingdom on Nov 10th also. Did you have your meet?

We had such a great time. I thought Animal Kingdom was the most crowded Park. We left mid afternoon, & went to Epcot, & landed in MK early evening.

Looking forward to the rest of your report.

Thanks

Patricia

Hi Pat. The meet was on Thursday at MK. Actually, only AngieBelle came, but we had a good time catching up with her. We had met her on a previous trip.

This was actually my last trip report post. Scroll down if you want to find my others. They are all titled "Jersey Week - Day ..."

Hope you had a great time.

When is your next trip.

I am going to leave this post, but I will put it in the completed thread. Plus I will merge your TR.
