Just wondering what you thought of it...

Jill

Oh, definitely! I was way overwhelmed. I think the scrapbooking section quadrupled in size and product! There must have been 100 different paper stacks too.

I found some Primas on clearance for 99 cents.

Everything is so clean and bright and not a big huge mess.

Love the store!

...Say, want to be my new mom? You can pick me up at 8 am, and we'll go for a drive. :p

LOL, Danica. You should take the train out this way one Friday, you can stay with us for the weekend ;)

If she taking the train out here and for staying for the weekend
I'm coming too!! We could have all kinds of fun! I want to go to
the new m's too. and we could do a tour of all the good scrap places.
We can go to r a h in no Attleboro. I'll take you to the one in seekonk.
Let's do that. And we can do make and takes.
Whatcha say Danica?

Oh, I love primas!!! Great deal. :goodvibes

I'm in! There's an art store in Seekonk (I think?) that sells Twinkling H2Os, or as I call them, wonderful little pots of shiny fun.

:faint: and  was how I felt after visiting the store today - wow!!! What a beautiful store! I hope that they keep it clean and organized because it really makes a difference.

I had dh & the kids waiting for me in the car so I only walked around a little bit. I was there during the "spin the wheel" promotion and got a notebook for free - no big deal but it was fun. I saw a woman doing a demo of the Cricut and another doing cookie decorating.

The scrapbook section is AMAZING and rivals some scrap book stores. I like how they have some things organized by events like Christmas, Halloween, Weddings, etc. And I couldn't get over the amount of paper packs and single sheets of paper - wow! I will go back when paper is on sale as there were several sheets I really liked - but not enough to buy at $.99 & $1.99/sheet.

I found I couldn't go directly to the scrapbook section so I first went off to the right and checked out the frame section - the framing section itself is quite nice! I then slowly made my way over so I could take it all in. At the other store there was such a limited selection so you were through the sb area in no time. In the new store it takes a while to see everything.

They were giving away 50% off one item coupons so I bought the Martha Stewart scoring board - reg. price $19.99. I also got a free Michael's tote bag when I checked out. :thumbsup2

Again, I will go back when I don't have people waiting in the car for me and I have more time to look around at everything. (I am not into beading but I did notice they had quite a large collection)

The only bad thing I could bring up is that the parking lot is not the greatest - but no big deal - it was just crowded today due to the opening.

Weren't you overwhelmed? It's HUGE compared to the old store. And so clean! They had such a mess over there, it was rather gross.

I love how they have it set up by theme. I can see myself spending hours (and loads of money!) in there. I wasn't impressed by the ad this week. I wish I had time to get over there yesterday and get some of the Iris containers, they were only $3.99 and I'm going to try to sort by theme, I think.

It would sure be a lot easier to figure out if this wonderful store was within driving distance, if the directions were a little clearer than by the "perpetual state of confusion" near the "Village hidden in the leaves", but far enough from Boston to need to leave early. Does that mean it's closer to me?:confused3

I believe this is the store they are referring to (based on the ad posted in the other thread):

1398 Worcester Rd, Unit A
Natick, MA 01760-1514

But we got a new store here in Schaumburg last week, and it is wonderful! The lighting itself is just 100x better than before. Our Michael's also moved into a vacant Circuit City building.

Jill you got the scoring board? I went to my
Michaela today to get one and there was none. AGAIN. My
store never has any.

Jennifer- what h20's thingys are you talking about??

Danica - you're on. Save up and come hang with us for the weekend.
I really want to do a crop around here. We could have so much fun.

Good one! :thumbsup2

It's in Natick, MA on rt. 9 - the nicest Michael's I have seen so far.

Jennifer - yes, it IS overwhelming! That's why I had to ease myself over to the sb section as I would have been hyper-ventilating if I went there right away.

PO3 - yes, managed to find the scoring board so I was happy. :thumbsup2

As much as I love our local ACM, it is really in need of a clean-up and a re-vamp. This new Michael's store is a ride for me, but it's like ACM on steroids. :worship:

Lucky you Jill.
I went to acm in Bellingham today and it was so
messy it was making me crazy. It needs an update.

I'd live to go to natick and see that store. The one in smithfield
is nice and new too. But they ( the workers) need a lesson in
customer service over there!!

How funny is that. Seems like a strange coincidence!

Twinkling H2Os, please note I am not responsible for any purchases anyone makes after viewing this thread ;)

Oh I think I might have seen them in there. I used to go there
all the time with ma. It's right near the cementary.

I might have to have some of those.

Yes that's the name. AL's. They just redid the whole store.
When I first started stamping that was my first store other than
Michaels that I went too. I've been going there for years.
Dh used to work right near there.
