Jellyrolls!

My family and I are planning our trip to Disney for the end of June into July. Jellyrolls is always a "must do" for us when we go and we always have a blast there! Was wondering if anyone knows who the current players are. I heard that there were some changes recently and was just curious as to who is still playing there

If you feel the need to represent Philly Ray does a great Philadelphia Freedom . And Scotty does a very funny Fresh Prince Of Bell Air .

Not sure how long its been since you have gone. But the two newest guys are Johnny and Matt. Johnny started a couple of years ago and knows a ton of current stuff. You can usually catch him playing with Daniel. It really worked out well, they pair up perfectly with each other. The newest member is Matt. He started this past October. When we saw him in December he still seemed kind of intimidated. But even by the end of our week he seemed more relaxed. He played a lot of Billy Joel (He did Vienna really well) and some newer stuff (R. Kelly Ignition Remix was good too). He is usually playing with Michael.

not as great as Jellyrolls but have you been to Jolly's in Philly?? can get loud and vulgar by the end of the night and alot of repeated songs but can be be fun if done with friendsd!

Yes, I've been to Jolly's in Philly and was not a fan. My sister and I went about 2 months ago. There was a $15 cover (fine), but once we were in, the players kept talking about money!! For example, someone gave them $15 to play a song and they kept trying to get someone to pay $20 to "outbid" them so they wouldn't have to play it!! $15 for a song is extremely generous in my book! I very rarely hear the guys at Jellyrolls talk about the amount they get for each song. They are appreciative of each tip they get and don't put anyone on the spot about it. Also, 2 of the pianists at Jolly's were playing songs that they didn't know off of their iPhones!! They would pull up the music of a song they didn't know, prop the phone up on their music stand, and play the song while reading the music off their phone. LAME! Just be honest if you don't know the song, give the person back their money, and go home and learn it for a different night. There was also a lot of cursing by the players at Jolly's and overall didn't have the Disney "magic" of Jellyrolls if you know what I mean

yup no magic at all! and sad that it is the only one on the map that register in Philly a fewe friends found a good one by Nat'l Harbour in Md but to far to check it out...

Jolly's although fun, is no way near as entertaining as Jellyrolls. Way too small and way too packed! The pianists aren't nearly as talented, but they are entertaining. In their defense, they have a lot to live up to when it comes to Jellyrolls fans. But at least its a step in the right direction. The manager at Jolly's is a great guy and really did everything in his power to make our night as enjoyable as possible.

I don't think Michael will ever leave. Mike (Sunshine) is still there, but doesn't play nearly as often. He is a fantastic guy! Talk about personality!

not sure which Michael you are talking about but if its this Michale, yes he is still there. He is also the brother of Scotty
well he was there this past April unless he was just visiting...

That is Mike (Scottys brother) in the picture. Michael is playing with Matt more often then Michael is playing with Mike (pictured above).

Hahaha! Ok thanks for spelling it out! I think I get it. The one in the photo is there less often now. The "other" Michael now plays with Matt!

Mike Kilwein is still around, but not regularly. He is only there when needed to fill the schedule.
