Actually Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe or go around preaching the end of the world is coming at some exact date. It was my impression that this thread was started as a joke.

Oh, I'm not offended. I just wanted to clear up that JW's don't do that. Whoever told you that was either not really a Witness or if they are they're wrong in telling you that.
I just wanted to post and tell you all that I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and if that's what someone told you would happen then it was a lie. I also wanted to say that there are a lot of people who make a joke of it and say that they are Witnesses but they aren't. We never said anything about the world coming to an end in 2000 or that anyone would die on 6-6-06 or whatever the date was. Please don't take any of that personal or think that that's the way we are because none of that was true. Thanks.
I knew that much about one. (adn thats about all I know lol) but we have a REALLY old house and there are four or five different "boxes" of fueses and stuff. (I don't know the real names for any of it. Electricity isn't really my thing.) So I didn't know which one to turn off.
