Does this scenario sound possible?? If we head to RNR at RD and obtain rider swap. DH rides while I take DD over to the Jedi Training signups (I will use the rider swap later in the day). DH will meet us there are at TSM. We have FP+ for TSM 9:20-10:20, then ADR at Hollywood and Vine at 10:20. Or should we just head straight to the Jedi Training and take our chances with RNR in the single rider lane later in the day?

I would definitely head straight for Jedi Training sign ups. We have done it twice. The first time, we arrived just before park opening, went straight there and by the time we got to the front of the line, there were few shows left with openings. The second time, we were about 4 people from the tapstile and went directly to the sign ups and were toward the front of the line.

All this to say, it seems that it's not just being at the park for rope drop, but being there early so you're toward the front of the pack. The park opened about 10 minutes early when we were there last month.

Go to JTA first. It can be a serious line some mornings. Then single rider or if before 1030 or so lines are still very reasonable same for TSMM.

In the 10 minutes or so it would take you extra to get a ride swap ticket you would miss JT, it has limited spots and fills extremely fast. Head there first, let your husband do a ride or two, or swap who waits at JT.

I was at the gates at 8:30 (opening at 9) so i was maybe 20 feet from the entrance. My son and I went straight to JTA and waited 20 minutes to sign up. It could have easily been 45 minutes if i had taken 10 more minutes to get there. I would go to JTA first then head over to RnR. There is a single rider line there also that you can use.
