This year will mark our first ever WDW trip in August and I am preparing myself for "surface of the sun" type of heat. My kids did Jedi Training a few years ago in March and I seem to remember there being little to no shade. Is there any point in even signing up for Jedi Training in August? I am picturing the little padawans in those hot brown robes. Has anyone done this during summer months that can offer insight?

We did it last August. We were all dripping sweat before the show started. It was pretty bad. I think we made a mistake, though, because we picked the 11:00 show. I'd thought I'd remembered some shade on the stage late morning...I was wrong. But it's still so much fun! I'd go for the first show in the morning OR one of the evening shows. Mid-day and afternoon are both killers, and in the afternoon you're more likely to experience a rainout. By evening the sun is down and most showers will have passed.

Just FYI for touring plans, the 11AM show will likely be cancelled for the Frozen Processional (as it was last year), but we don't really know until that starts. And from what I've been reading, the 9AM and 10AM shows fill up very fast.
