I've never seen this and was wondering - do they have it all the time or just certain times of year?
DS would love it

thanks

They just started sometime last month doing it every day. Yesterday they had eight seperate showings between 11:10 to 6:20, but it was a particularly busy day. It is really great to watch.

PPPPLLLLEEEEAAASSSEEEEE let it be permanent!!!!!!!!!!! I understand how few guests can do this at a time, but get tons of Jedi trainers! C'Mon WDW! You can add this EASILY!!!

What exactly is it?... Is it just for the little ones, or will us big kids like it too?.. Unless they do keep it we will miss it anyway... :sad2:

When I have stopped and watched it the past few weekends, it has seemed to draw a pretty good crowd...there are only about 15-20 kids up on stage during each show and they each get a jedi robe and a practice lightsaber...I've seen kids as old as 13 or 14 up on stage. I get a kick out of it because the Jedi in charge is witty and the kids usually have a problem with their lightsabers and it's so cute to see them learn all the moves...I could watch it over and over, but then I am Star Wars obsessed as well...

As for it being permanant, I don't know what guidelines Disney looks at but it seems like a great interaction for kids!

I hope they continue this as well. we are not going till mid-July but my daughter would love this. :darth:

We were at WDW last week and both my sons (ages 4 and 8) got picked to be on stage. We showed up at the end of the previous show and perhaps it helped that the "jedi master" surely saw us (because he was around afterwards letting folks take pics with him). My 8 yr old enjoyed it but this was really a dream come true for my 4 yr old who practices fighting bad guys in one of his numerous costumes with his arsenal of weapons every day :teeth:

If my 4 year old hadn't gotten picked we were prepared to spend most of the rest of the day trying - this was the thing in all of WDW he wanted to do the most.

We spent about 30-40 mins standing there next to the stage and waiting for the next show. In the end it was worth it. One of the women who works around the attraction told me that it was much easier to get picked during the parade and the shows afterward as there are fewer people. I can believe that as it was so crowded around Star Tours around 1pm you could hardly move! Later in the day - after 5 - it was much less crowded. :thumbsup2

Great tip! I'm going to add that to my site.
