I know at WDW they no longer randomly pick kids from the audience. They now line up ahead of time and wait their turn. Is that how they are also doing it at DLR or is it still random?

There is no "line up" at Jedi Training in DLR. The Jedi Master still makes his selections from the kids in the audience (on the rope).

The experience from many Diser's.....who's young padewans were selected, is that one can minimize the "random"ness.
