Jedi Training Academy sign ups question with a Jawas bonus Q

We are headed to Disney tomorrow! Our Hollywood Studios day is Monday and I was wondering about a few threads I had seen mentioning lines/sign ups for JTA pre-park open. Anyone know if this was just a test or is it a daily thing now??? Want to make certain we get there earlier than we had planned if need be as our 6 yr old really wants to do this!

Also, are the Jawas always about around the Launch Bay area or is it a crapshoot? Again, our daughter really wants to trade with them, but I want to set expectations if they are not on any type of set schedule.

I think it just happened one day and then not again. Assume the usual drill, get to the park 45 minutes before park opening.

Jawas are not always there and do not always want to trade

Have fun. We head to Universal Friday of next week and then to WDW on Monday, a week after you. Woohoo

@inkedupmomma was at the park during Marathon week and she was able to sign up her child prior to their pre-opening breakfast on a non-EMH.

When we were there last week there was a CM with a sign outside the taps tiles moving everyone for Jedi Training into 3 lines. The Jedi lines were let in early, maybe 15-20 min. before everyone else and we were directed back to sign ups. We were not near the front but we're done with signing up rather quickly and made it to the rope before they let everyone else in and 5-10 minutes before rope drop.
