Someone in my Oct FB group just posted that JTA's last day is Sept 12 according to a phone CM, with no reopening date known yet.

They aren't posting times on the Disney site after Sept 12. I TRULY hope that that is not the case. If so, we are completely skipping DHS and probably adding another day to Seaworld or Legoland.

I still trust yulilin's October 4th date over a phone CM's info. My CM friend performs in shows and parades and entertainment CMs involved in shows are given much advance notice. The October 4th date fits that scenario.

with all the things closing at HS. I really dont get it.. Do Disney care about customers? We have to book trip way in advance, book adr, plan everything and after they do something like this.. I understand when a ride close temporaly to get work done in it..But major thing like JTA.. I really thing it's something they need to get us inform with..One thing for sure..if JTA is close for my november 2 day park for my son birthday.. a ADR for prepark Hand V will be cancel.. I really love Disney but this year.. I'm getting a lot of frustrations.. I'm from canada and with the exchange rate.. I paid a lot of money to go there.. Well let hope it's gonna be a short closing periode but I really doubt it

My hope is that the Oct 4th rumor could be the reopening date. We arrive on 10/10, and if the new version is still 4-12, DD will never get to participate unless it's this year. She'll be 13 in December.

I understand that cast must have training.. but I dont get it.. I 'm sure they can trained people while other are doing the regular show and only change it when the training is finish..

I also heard from a reliable source (someone I know personally who works for Disney) that JTA is closing October 4th. Our friend only let us know because he knows that we have a trip coming up and our kids always participate and wanted to be able to prepare the kids for disappointment.

I'm so sad about this. We were just at Disney in June for SWW and I didn't let the kids participate because I hate the feeding frenzy that goes on during SWW JTA signups and I hate how rushed the show is during SWW. This cost my now 5 year old the only chance to fight with Vader, as we aren't planning on returning to Disney for awhile.

I told my friend I don't understand why they need to close the show just because they're changing it. Why can't they keep the current stage running while they make the changes?

Our DHS day is looking so short right now. Without JTA, I'm going to go in and change my FP+s. We'll probably be done by 11:00 a.m. JTA definitely kept us in the park. Now I guess we'll be adding to the overcrowding at MK instead. Awesome.

Well, add me to the list of people who will have disappointed little boys if this is the case. We arrive Oct 10, so looks like we will just miss it. We also have a whole day built around popping in to DHS first thing JUST for Jedi Training (we are meeting friends there earlier in our trip one afternoon/evening to do other things & see Fantasmic). Just when I think I have all of our plans / ADR's / FP+ in place...

I already spend a day in HS on the october 30 (the 29 going to MNSSHP) so we will not be a RD that day, but if JTA is still close in early november, that change my plans I dont think I will need a second half day park over there.. My FP is in 7 day so I really hope to have more details about this before next saturday.. If it's actually close, I probably will go to Epcot instead of HS on november 2 I will take FP there instead of HS.. GRRR I hate when I dont have the control and can't schedule like I want

Why should eating breakfast in an air conditioned building give you the right to be in the front of a line for JTA? The way I see it, you were entertained for an hour while others stood in line. It's not like Disney advertises that the ADR gives you first in line access. And there is precedence for this, Fantasmic Dinner package comes to mind. Just my 2 cents.

I don't book pre-park ADRs to get a jump on other guests, so I don't expect a perk, but I'm also not being fed and entertained for free.

Does Disney ever listen to guests about issues like this? If we could even get a meet and greet with Darth, it would still be worth it to us. But we booked this vacation at this time so that our son could do this activity. Otherwise, we would have probably waited another year. If enough people write and ask them to consider an alternative, like a meet and greet, do they ever listen?

The Disney Chase Visa meet and greet at DHS will reportedly feature Vader. Keep watching the Boards to find out when that will begin. It's being heavily promoted right now so hopefully it will be in place for your trip - you'll be able to take part as long as you have a Disney Chase Visa or Disney Chase Debit card.

I agree, if we could at least get a meet and greet, it might take some of the sting off. Will be extremely disappointing if it closes completely as that is one of the main reasons we are going to HS. This is our first trip and we probably won't get back again before my 9 year old is too old to participate.

According to the email Disney Rewards sent out, the M&Gs at WDW won't start until "early 2016," they just started the casting process for them.

Thanks, Missy. I wonder what Vader will be doing once JTA is downed? Poor guy will be homeless for quite a few months. ;)

UGH. Just ugh.

My kid was SO looking forward to doing JTA.

wahhhh ::shakes fist at Disney::

I do have the card and was SUPER excited... until I saw "early 2016." With a mid-November trip, I seem to fall into the abyss that happens post-JTA and pre-Meet & Greet. Which is why I'm hoping they can at least plunk old Darthy down in the park for some good old fashioned socializing.
