Jedi Academy Sign Up

I've never done the Jedi sign up at DL only WDW. I know at WDW if you don't get there first thing it goes pretty quick. My question is if at rope drop you can do Peter Pan then do jedi sign up?

You probably can, but I would definitely get there within the first hour.
