My grandson wants to sign up for the Jedi Academy. My question is, has anyone recently done this? I know it is one of those things you need to run to immediately when you enter DS but I am not sure where to go. A friend said it is next to the Indiana Jones show but that it is often moved to other spots. Has anyone done this within the last couple of weeks? If so where did you sign up?

TY

While I have not done it in the past few weeks I did do it last year. Your best bet is to get there a little before rope drop and double check with. a cm. When we went last year it was right by Indiana Jones we got there at rope drop and walked over. The line was long but well worth it.

We did this on our recent trip on June 16th this year. We didn't quite make it to the parks until a little after 9 and waited about 5 or 10 minutes in line at the Indiana Jones outpost. There were 2 other families in front of us and we took the earliest time available (12:20) which worked out great! We just ate lunch at backlot express and then made our way over to the outpost when it was our time. Just look at the hourly weather the night before and have a few preferred time slots written down when you get to the podium.

However, this was before TSL opened and there was hardly anyone in the park on the day we went. It may be a completely different ballgame with the TSL crowds.

We did it about June 8th or 9th. We were there early and right in the front of the entrance line. And there was a CM there telling everyone not to run. We walked (around 8 minutes) to the Indianna Jones area and signed her up. We were almost trampled by a village idiot who ran with one kid under each arm screaming get out of my way. We walked and were about 10 people behind this idiot. We got Maria signed up and they assigned her a time at 09:30 their 1st show. The guy who ran got assigned a time at 16:00 or so (I heard him complaining) Karma is good.

We were there on Saturday the 23rd. We arrived prior to rope drop and were second back from the tapstiles (toward the left). When they opened the gates (prior to rope drop), we headed up the left side of the street and turned left just past Mickey's of Hollywood. There was a cast member there holding a Jedi Training banner. We were first in line behind the banner, and she waited until a short line accumulated (maybe 60 seconds or so) and had us follow behind her to the sign up location. I'm not sure how many people had already signed up, but we'd seen a lot of people go in for PPO breakfasts. Even with that, we still could have chosen the first show of the day if we'd wanted to. We opted for the second because we wanted to squeeze in a ride on TSMM before the line got long (although I was worried about the possibility of getting rained out).

We walked by the Indiana Jones Outpost around noon today. There was a sign outside the store that indicated spots were still open to sign up. I didn't bother to see what times were available.

Thanks this is helpful since it is a Friday and the new land might be taking the crowds away from the existing attractions. Thanks to all who replied.

We walked by at 4:30 yesterday and there were still spots available
