Well it's offical folks the Jedi academy will start on monday March 27th. Stage is set up and ready. If it's well recieved it will remain for good.

Please tell me more. Will this be the same as what they have during Star Wars Weekends? Will it be there when we go the first week in May?

first week of may? Yeah i think star wars weekends are suppose to still be going on. But like i said it should be a daily show from this point on, unless corprate changes their minds.

yes this is at Disney MGM studios, it's right in front of the Star Tours enterance and it is for children, sorry no adults.

Jedi hopefulls learn and test their padawan skills agains Darth Vador and several Storm Troupers.

I believe it is going to be Darth Vadar only this year, no Darth Maul.

So it is in the same spot huh. Last yewar it was too crowded to try on the SWW day we went plus I wasnt traveling alone I had 4 kids ( and a few assorted grownups and a baby) with me and If one was picked and the others were not it would have been a big problem.


This year I wont make it to SWW but I am going to be there over the Easter Holiday. This time I will only have my own kids with me ( I think who knows I always attract a crowd at Disney).

I just told DH that this might be a DAILY occurence...year round...he goes, "Beautiful!". If DS was in here, he'd be saying, "SWEET!"

This would be TOTALLY awesome for all us SW freaks out there!

My 4 yr old son would just go nuts for this. I can see now having to rearrange my entire day at MGM - my entire vacation - to stand out there until he gets picked. I can't tell if this is a good or bad thing! LOL!

We just did that exact thing for my 7 y/o DS. We had only 1 day planned at the parks this trip and had to rearrage plans to goto MGM instead. However it was all worth it from the look on his face and the priceless video and photos. We got there about 15 mins early and go front and center. We asked a CM about getting picked and he said to jump up and down like a crazy person. Well it worked and he was picked 2nd in the first show of the day. He LOVED it. Any questions about it I'd be happy to field them....

The only problem I see with that link is they say 5-6 kids are chosen...it's more like 10-12.
