Do any of you "pear" shaped women have great fitting/looking jean/pants !?!? I have the hardest time finding a good fitting pair of pants !! I can't seem to find anything baggy enough in the bottom and small enough for my waste!! So now i'm wearing the same kind of Nike pants my DS16 wears !! Help !!! :scratchin

Have you tried Eddie Bauer, Lee Riveted or Lands End? They are the only jeans I can get that are smaller in the waist and give a bit extra in the hips. I hate wearing pants where the waist is too big, just so I can get my hips to fit!

I'm not pear shaped but read somewhere low rise or low cut jeans are great. They sit low on the hips so they do not hide a small waits. Not too low but a little low would be good.

Well, I'm straighter than straight (36-30-37, how funny is that) and I can warn you away from Express and Diesel, both of which seem to be super-straight (i.e. they fit me!)

I have some Lee Riveted shorts & capri/cargo style pants, both fit me well. Lee makes alot of different styles to fit alot of different body types.

Run, don't walk to gap.com and order yourself the reverse fit jeans. They are the best!! They come in denim. Also black denim with stretch, and they are sooo comfortable! Just got an email for free shipping on 2 or more pairs, enter code REVERSE at checkout. Hope you like them as much as me!:sunny: :sunny:

I loved the reverse fit jeans from gap. At one time thats all I wore. Now I kinda like the the type of jeans that don't lay on my waist. Not the low,low rise ones. The ones that lay just below your belly button, this way when your sitting you don't have the waist band digging into your waist. And if you have any "rolls", their not sticking out. I wish gap made the reverse fit jeans that way, with alittle flair at the hemline. I think the problem with jeans is that alot of them are cut for girls and not women. I need to try the eddie bauer ones, I think there cut for women.

What are the reverse fit jeans? I'm not familiar with them.

Also, I found some linen pants at Target of all places which actually fit perfectly. I always have a hard time finding pants, but these are their home brand, I think-Linden Hill maybe. Anyway, fit my pearish self perfectly.

Another vote for Gap Reverse fit jeans. You can only get them online.
They are smaller at the waist (not low rise) and a little roomier at the hips and thighs.

I have the same problem-- small waist, large hips:rolleyes: The lower rise slacks fit OK- I still have to take the waist up in some but jeans are another story

I'm going to check out the Gap ones- keeping my finger crossed.

Boy I wish I knew about those jeans years ago. My waist isn't quite so small anymore though.
I like Bill Blass jeans, they seem to fit me pretty well.

I like liz Claiborne Jeans, I just found some for a good price at BJs, they had both regular denim and black jeans.

Are the reverse fit "fitted" though or baggy?
Fitted. NOT tight, but NOT baggy.

Another vote for these GREAT jeans! ::yes::

They used to carry them in the stores, but they're only online now. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these jeans. Fitted waist, "eased" through the hips and thigh, slight taper at the ankle. I have a whole collection of them from size 10 to 18.

They could only get better if they made the waist a little lower and came in a boot-leg cut so they'd be more modern looking... But they still fit better than any other jean I've ever had.

When I worked at The Gap we described reverse fit jeans as a "tailored" fit, rather than fitted. the Classic Cut were more fitted, and were often a bit narrow in the thigh for some folks. If their size range doesn't work for you, check the jeans at Target. I've bought a couple pairs that are stretch denim, but I'm not sure if they have a brand label or not. The fit nicely and are very comfortable.
