Jeans lenghs

Sorry, I was hoping Old Navy would help. Have you tried Petite Sophisticate? Sometimes their pants/jeans are to short in the inseam for me.

I think the new trend's great - I'm not extremely tall, I'm 5'8" and still couldn't find pants that were long enough. The "long" sizes were usually too long. However, I hate wearing heels.

LOL, no... I'm a good 5'10" and so I don't have that problem, I have the opposite problem. Can only buy jeans when they make a "long" version... which stores are starting to get better at sometimes with their jeans... but dress pants seem to mostly come in a one-length-fits-all still.

Ditto. I'm 6'1". I had to laugh this summer when I got a talls catalog and it had cropped pants. :rotfl2: For tall women, they're all cropped pants.

I would like to find tall jeans, in my size, that don't come up way over my belly button. I feel like that SNL thing with the "mom jeans."

I buy two kinds of jeans: ones that are "shorter" that I can wear with tennis shoes and flops and others that are longer to wear with heels. Sometimes I even buy them really long and then cut off the very bottom so it fringes.

Wearing jeans long with heels is tricky because they pretty much have to cover the entire shoe. If only half the shoe is covered, they look too short, even though they are long. That makes sense, right? :teeth:

I have to go on record to say that I don't go out in public with my jeans rolled up! :earseek: :teeth: Actually, some people here do wear them like that, but not the long, boot-cut ones. I just do it around the house when I'm not wearing shoes.

It would actually seem dangerous instead of just tricky. If the bottom gets cought under that heel (pointy one!) you could be in some trouble.

Jeans and high heels, I don't think that is one trend this mommy is going to get into. Maybe I will just have to cut and let them fray, because the bottoms are going to get that way anyway form draging on the floor.

I had to laugh. Yesterday we were at McDonalds (in new jeans) and DH took the kids to sit down while I waited for the food. One of the teens there kept talking and joking with me. DH mentioned it later and said "he was trying to flirt with you." I said "It most of been the jeans."

BTW has anyone read the traveling pants books? They are really cute! My closest friend and I got into them this summer. (great vacation and beach reading.) I hope she come out with a 4th one.

Kermit, I never doubted you! ;)
