The day after Jeanne was sunny and beautiful! We got up and got ready for our day, then headed down to the food court for breakfast. I had fruit, DH had pancakes and bacon, and the boys both had bacon and french toast sticks. After breakfast, we walked around the resort for awhile, since the parks were opening a little later than normal. We got a bus for MGM with no problem, the line for security looked long but it moved quickly, through the turnstiles, and we were on our way!
We were going to Playhouse Disney first, but Little Mermaid was getting ready to start, and a CM told us we'd have time to see Mermaid first, and still catch PHDisney, so we decided to do that. Waited outside the door for maybe 5 minutes, then we went in. It was pretty good, Trev was a little scared, but we kept reminding him that it was pretend. He's watched the Little Mermaid at home, so he knew about Ursula. Next, we went to Playhouse Disney; there was a huge line, but as soon as the doors opened (maybe 7-8 minutes or so) we got right in. It was a cute show, but we were way off to the far left; I'd like to see if from the middle of the audience next time. Both kids loved it, Trevor danced along with the rest of them! After that it was off to the Baby Care center, Isaac needed a change; I was pleased to see the little children's restroom, and it was all clean and nice. Next it was on to Muppet Vision 3-D. DH and I saw it before, and I don't think it's changed, but if was fun. The boys were sure about the 3D glasses, I know Isaac didn't wear his, and Trev did some of the time. They both seemed to like it ok, Isaac fell asleep in the middle of it, so DH carried him after that. When we were done there, we put our glasses in the bins, Trevor didn't think we should be putting them in the trash, lol, but he finally agreed when we told him it wasn't the trash. Next we went down to Al's Toy Barn to find the Toy Story crew. Trev and I got autographs and a picture taken, he loved the characters. He loves Toy Story anyway, and he had on his Buzz Lightyear shirt, which Buzz noticed and pointed out--two thumbs up there! Isaac was still asleep, so we decided to get some lunch and sit down for awhile. We didn't really have a plan, but we walked past Pizza Planet, and of course, Trev wanted to eat there. We got a pizza for the boys to share, and DH and I split the special that had a pizza and a salad each, because I took the boys' salad; ended up sharing it with Trevor anyway, but that's ok. Total cost was $20.30, and we had plenty of food. After lunch, Chris decided he wanted to do Star Tours; Trev wanted to, but we didn't know if he was tall enough--he was, with 1/2 inch to spare. Isaac and I walked down to the HISTK playground, but it was closed, so we wandered around close to Star Tours. When they came out, Chris said that Trev was a little scared at first, but he did great, and he told me it was fun, but he didn't want to do it again.
We went back to Movies and went swimming for a while. I had decided to take the film camera down to the pool with us and take some pics. All was well, we played in the pool, then I decided to take Isaac to the kiddie pool for a little while. Picked up the camera, put it around my neck, and walked over there. I put him in the water and sat on the side, he played around, but then he went under somehow (he had the floating suit on, probably should have taken it off), and his little bottom was up in the air, his head under the water, so reached in and picked him up, of course. He came up laughing, but my camera had also gone under, and cameras don't swim well. Water was pouring out of it, and it wouldn't do anything. We went back up to the room to rest before our PS for Fantasmic. DH took the battery out of the camera, and I was glad it wasn't my new digital.
Around 4 we got up and went back to MGM for dinner. We were early, so we stopped to watch some street performers. I don't know who they were, but they were throwing plungers at a bullseye....they were funny though. We went and checked in at Hollywood and Vine, but the CM at the podium said they were still closed for repairs; I knew they were going to be the week before, guess they didn't get done. He went ahead and gave us our vouchers for Fantasmic, and said he could get us a PS at any restaurant inside the park, and we could eat there. We chose 50's Prime Time Cafe, because we had planned to eat there on Saturday anyway, and that way we didn't have to come back to MGM if we didn't want to. Uncle Spencer was our waiter; he was pretty good but not into it enough to be annoying, thank goodness. I had the fried chicken, DH had the meatloaf, and the kids split a kids' potroast. It was all great! There was so much chicken I could hardly eat it, but I finally managed to finish it, and we split a caramel sundae for dessert. After dinner, we just walked around, Chris stopped in the Indiana Jones shop and looked at a hat that he didn't buy (yet, lol), then we made our way to the Hollywood Hills Theatre for Fantasmic. Man, there were a ton of people there! By the time it was over, every seat except the reserved ones for the package were filled, and they were probably about 2/3 full. I'm glad we did the package, we got there about 7:15 and the other section was just a continuous line of people coming in. We liked the show ok, not exactly what I was expecting, and it was a little too much for Trevor. We kept reminding him that it was pretend, and he did ok. Isaac fell asleep in the middle of it, and when it was over, we took our time leaving. Got on the 2nd bus back to Movies and went to bed.
Tomorrow: MK, Crystal Palace, haircuts, and Wishes
