Does anyone know if Penney's had a separate giveaway of $100 coupons for their employees, maybe as a thank you for working the holiday?

The reason I ask is my daughter overheard a group of employees talking in the store about which of them had snagged a $100 coupon. There appeared to be at least five employees among them who had a certificate. I would hate to think that they were grabbing handfuls of the coupons for themselves when they were meant as giveaways for customers.

I would think that Jcpennys would encourage their employees to spend their paychecks at Jc Pennys.
