Jason's Deli is slightly overrated

I like Jason's deli since there are lots of options. Panera is way overpriced for what you get. Zoe's kitchen is also good for lighter fare like salads and sandwiches and they have really good hummus.

Their sandwiches are very boring. I'll take Schlotzsky's over Jason's Deli any day. Their salad bar is ok, but my favorite salad bar right now is Salata. I love that place!

Their kids' meals are a steal. We rarely go but for $15 all three of us can have dinner.

The ice cream is so so, but it's free! Free soft serve still reminds me of the cafeteria at college:)

Never heard of the place. As for free "ice cream," I figured it would have to be artificially-flavored non-dairy frozen dessert product. At least my college cafeteria had real ice cream, not that nasty slop.

I have eaten at the place many times. IMO the quality has gone down. Yes the ice cream is free but it taste crappy. I have had it taste spoiled. I'd rather them charge for it and have it be good quality ice cream.

We have Jason's Deli here in Texas and I love their salad bar. When my parents used to come down here at Christmas they wanted to eat here avery few nights. The only problem is that I disagree with the OP about waiting another 15 minutes for your food. Unfortunately, we've had several times where the only way we ever got our food is to go back up and get our sandwich or dessert, even though they SAID they'd bring it out. That's a small reason why we usually get their salad!

I am a fan. We have them here in Va. We used to go for lunch there all the time when I worked on the base. Haven't been in a while.

FYI Jason's Deli has 250 locations in 29 states. Can't comment on the food or service, tried it once about 15 years ago and haven't been back yet.

Ugh to Panera. It's my mother-in-law's favorite place and I am just not a fan. I completely agree that it is overpriced and I don't think it has a lot of flavor. Never been to Zoe's Kitchen. Agree with the above poster about Schlotzsky's. Love that place. When we lived in Austin, they had a Schlotzsky's in the airport that served a full menu all day. Nothing wrong with having an Original and some Sour Cream and Onion chips at 6am, right?
