Jason's Deli is slightly overrated

Don't get me wrong, their food is delicious. But I can't think of another place where you stand in line for 15 minutes to order, only to have to sit down and wait another 15 minutes to get your food. That concept is baffling to me. Why not just have servers take your order? Their food is certainly good enough to be a "table service" restaurant.

There are lots of places where you order at a counter and then wait for your food. It's not a unique concept. Their broccoli cheddar soup is definitely worth waiting for, so you get no sympathy from me.

My solution though...order the salad bar. No waiting!

I'm not far from WDW, never heard of them. :confused3 Never even saw a deli down here.

Like you said, " Learn something new everyday ".

They have several locations in the Memphis area. I think they are Southeast US.

Maybe it's just your franchise. The one near me has pretty quick service. I do like the food, find it on par with Panera. My kids like Jason's Deli because every meal comes with an ice cream.

There are lots of them in Va. My kids like Jason's Deli because they have free ice cream.

We have eaten there in both Alabama and Colorado. They have a very good salad bar. I have never noticed the wait to be very long. The wait must depend upon the location.

I am really not a big fan of Jason's Deli and think they are over rated in general. Most if their food, to me at least, is rather bland and their bread is blah. Our office uses them to cater fairly frequently and I find both Corner Bakery and Panera to be far superior.

Their kids' meals are a steal. We rarely go but for $15 all three of us can have dinner.

The ice cream is so so, but it's free! Free soft serve still reminds me of the cafeteria at college:)

I was so unimpressed with ours! I could get a better sandwich, with more meat for less money at Subway!! I thought it'd at least be better than Subway . . . The only time I ordered there, I think my sandwich had more lettuce than turkey.

I groan when we have Jason's for work lunch meetings for the same reason. They do have some fancier sandwiches, but quite frankly their regular sandwiches are flat out plain!

They have even ventured out into pastas which I just flat out will not eat. Other people seem to like it well enough, but that is one place I just cannot stand.

It is my daughter's favorite restaurant and we don't have one where we live. There is one where my parents live, though, and they love to take her there. I'm not wild about it. I like the food well enough, especially their Mediterranean wrap and salad bar, but I don't think it's worth what you pay. I'm always hungry a couple of hours later.

From what you are mostly saying I think I'll stick with Earl of Sandwich or Panera.
