We had an event planned there, although we were moved to the French Island arm because of space availability. It was described to me as the terrace around the pagoda where the drummers play. It is elevated above the crowd and you should have a pretty clear view of the show because other than the entrance marker in the water (which is very open anyway) there is nothing between you and the main barges. And there is always a chance, if there are other "more premium" spaces open you'll be shifted there at the last minute. It happened to us in November a couple years ago.
