I have heared about a snowcone type treat in japan. Any clue what its called and if they sell it year round. Is it even sold in japan (lol) or another place? I'm going in Jan and really excited to try this

It's called a Kaki Gori and it is at a food cart in Japan. Heard they were really good and plan on trying one on our next trip.

They are really good....a must have every trip. Try the multi-flavored for a taste of everything......YUM YUM!!!

OMIGOD these are so good. They have Cherry, Melon, Strawberry and I forget the other flavor I think it is orange or you can have a 3 way with Melon Strawberry and Orange. They are too die for and we make sure we always get one, even if it is raining or cold out.

They are quite good. Definately make sure you get one! The cart is to the left of the building in Japan where they perform on the drums.

You see it as you enter Japan if you are going clockwise around the world. These are great! We thought they were a snowcone, but they are so much better! The texture and the flavors are great. We just stumbled across it, but we will definately hit it when we go back.

It is so much better than a regular "snowcone" Plus the price is more than reasonable. They are huge. I shared with my dh, ds12,ds3,dd1, and we were all sated after. This trip coming only my ds 12, and myself will be going alone. He asked if he could have one of his own. My thoughts, fine with me. That means I will have one also :p
