Im thinking of January at BCV or any DVC property with availabe inventory...

I have points I must use...will finally close on my Add On at BCV in late October and am past my 6 month Use Year banking window....

Anyone think I still have a shot... Im looking for a long (4 day) weekend.

First off, if this purchase is thru DVC, talk to your guide. Sometimes with a new purchase you are allowed to bank the newly purchased points even though you are beyond your banking window.

January is the slow season for most every resort at WDW - I'd say if you were flexible with resort and time frame, you most certainly have a very good chance of getting what you want.

A fellow DVC member and I just called on Friday to book 4 nights (Jan. 16-19) in a BCV studio. We got Jan. 16, 17, 18 with no problem. But Jan. 19 studios were booked in all DVC resorts except for OKW. So we took Jan. 19 in OKW, but we're waitlisted.

So you will probably be fine to book something in January, with the possible exception of days around MLK Day. If you have no particular preference for resort, you should have no trouble at all getting OKW (which is a gorgeous place to stay).
