I'm thinking of going in Jan. When would be the least crowded week? I know MLK weekend will be busy.

Would it be better to go Jan. 10-14 or 24-29?

The last time I went it was MLK weekend and it was not crowded at all (at least compared to my previous experiences). This time I will be traveling the 25th through the 30th and if it is the same level of crowds, I will be happy.

I think the only park that will be crowded for MLK is MK. We will be there from 20-31. We have always gone 1st or 2nd week of Jan, so this will be our first time at the end of january. LOVE the January "crowds".

Jan 1 is a Thursday so 1-4 will still have Christmas crowds. After that Jan will be fine. Last week of Jan likely the lightest of the month but not much lighter than others. Heavier crowds around MLK weekend and only somewhat larger around marathon weekend (second weekend).

The 2nd week of Jan is your best bet- all the schools (except college) are back in session

The Super Bowl is in Tampa this year on 2/1 so I expect crowds to be really heavy towards the end of the month. Tourning plans which is very accurate about predicting crowds has posted a 9 I believe for 1/30 and 1/31.

Marathon weekend starts on Jan 8 and runs through Jan 11. Rooms may be hard to get, but the parks won't be that busy. Except avoid the MK on Sat and Sun morning until about 9:30 or 10AM.

We are going this year 24th to 31st of January :goodvibes Stayed the same timeframe in 2007 and the crowds were very low (compared to this past July  which was just crazy)

again, the superbowl was not 50 miles away in 2007. Now, 50 - 100,000 people will be coming down to /central Florida with nothing to do on Friday and Saturday other than going to disney.

Let's hope they find their way to Busch Gardens and forget about Disney.

I actually checked the capacity of the stadium that SuperBowl will be held in. I am really nervous about the crowd level, as my trip is the 25-31. The stadium holds 75K people. I am praying for light crowds!;)

The Superbowl should only effect crowds on Friday and Saturday.

On Sunday, anyone going to the game will be there and anyone watching will be at ESPN or in their room.

This reminds me of the time I was in MK on MLK weekend and people wanted to know why it was so crowded. I told them dur to MLK and they had no idea it waseven a holiday.

We are headed down to SSR, Jan 1-9. I know the 1-3rd will be more crowded but I want to see the Osborne lights! :) Then the rest of the week should be better.

We are going Jan 24-Feb 1st. We went down last year the first week of Februaury and it was lovely. The weather was warm (80's) every day and not too crowded.
Happy Planning!!!
