Back from my trip last week and already planning the next one! Last week was a bit chillier then I would have liked it. But I heard there was warmer weather earlier in the year. Looking at planning the next trip for January 2016 but how is the weather typically then?

It's really hard to say. Southern California weather is so unpredictable. Where last week it was raining, this weekend it will be in the 80s.

I would always prepare for cool nights.

And more specifically for January, I remember one week, it rained during the week and sunny on the weekend. We even were at the beach. (Not swimming but seaside picnic)

I think unless you go in the summer, it's hard to say. I live nearby and it can be in the 50s and raining or in the 80s and windy. Most commonly it's in the 60s, but you'll just have to check weather reports a week or two before you go.

We went the last week of January a few years ago and it was in the mid to high 70s, perfect weather.

We were there last week and we loved the weather, even though we couldn't take advantage of the DLH slides and pools as much as we'd like. Still, highs of 73, 74, & 68 seemed pretty perfect to me. 10 days before we were there, it had reached 90 degrees! Thankful we weren't there for that kind of heat in the middle of the winter.

we went in January. We thought weather was great for the parks (not too hot). wore long sleeves and jeans during day, but had to put on sweatshirts at night.
