January Trip - Marathon Weekend or MLK Weekend?

Trying to decide on a January 2019 trip. Would you choose to go over Marathon Weekend or MLK Weekend?

Marathon weekend would be my suggestion as well.

MLK is a "universal" holiday.
Kids out of school. Many businesses closed.
The parks are the focus.

Marathon is not about the parks.
It is about the race.
