January Stalkers, any out there?

Hi January Stalkers!

Anyone stalking January and want to come on here for support, questions, etc.?

We decided we wanted to add another week before September to get more use out of our AP. We have trips planned, next being 9 nights in a one bedroom at BWVs in November (I stalked that trip and put it together with six different ressies, bouncing around until I finally was able to get all nights at one resort) but with the borrowing restrictions need to book a studio, in January, and I want at least a week.

So, given above, I am stalking for the week of January 15-January 22,
studios in SSR-standard, OKW-not HH and Kidani.

I was able to book two consecutive days now at SSR, and put in a WL for full week for SSR and OKW and will continue to stalk.

If my dates were more flexible, it would possibly work better the beginning of January, but I will be babysitting my grandson the beginning of January for five nights and I need to be back for when classes start at my job.

I’m not your competition either. We have VB and then a DCL after NYE in WDW. Our winter trip is in February and I already have that set.

Here's a little tidbit you may not be aware of, vis a vis January at WDW: Jewish day schools in the US, called "yeshivas," virtually all close down around the second week of January for uniformity of vacation times for families of kids in different schools. So if you see more people than usual snacking on their own food, it's because they're bringing in kosher food. I've spoken to CMs who were a little perplexed by the phenomenon.

I was able to pick up two more nights last night but that would mean starting vacation from Friday-Friday, which is fine with me. If I can get it all booked with Friday-Friday, then I will stalk and try to move from Sat-Sat. So far, from yesterday, I have in a SSR Standard Studio:
Friday, January 14
Saturday, January 15
Tuesday, January 18
Wednesday, January 19

I need three more nights. Would be nice to be in another resort since was a SSR in November (but in a GV) but I will take what I can get at this point. Thank you for the pixie dust! I appreciate it and it is needed!

Thank you. Living in New York, I am very well aware of yeshivas.
However, the dates I am going are not the same as their closing of school.

I have a week in the middle part of January for our next trip and I'm trying to move it to the end (with some Feb days). All booked up now and I'm on a waitlist for Riviera. The Skyliner outage really messed with our plans.

Oh, good luck! I am looking for January 14 (or January 15) through January 22. Right now I have for nights
booked at SSR, standard studio view. First two nights and middle two nights. Nothing has appeared over
the last week.

Keep Checking, I have seen the week after me become available with a few days here and there thrown in. I'm not taking
that week since I'll be back in April and my mom will be back in February so trying to space it out a little.

If you have points and they can go back to your UY, I would book days as you can but that is just me.

I've messed with my January dates and rooms 1000 times.

We are "almost there" but still stalking a bit.

The goal is 2 studios Jan 1-7.

We had a lot of points to use by March so I made reservations a while back and figured we could decide by the end of October to cancel in time to bank the points. We have 1/17-22 at the Beach Club and 1/22-26 at Poly. I just got a great price for our plane tickets on Southwest so the trip is a go. After almost 24 months of no vacations, this will be our second. We head to AKL next week for 9 night split stay at AKL and Beach Club for 9 nights.
