January Refurbs

It looks like RSR will only be a one week refurb. The calendar shows it open again 1/24.

Do you think they will add HMH going down on dates that are already out? How likely are things to be added to the refurb schedule that is already out? I'm hoping it won't be down while we are there January 23-26th.

I’m guessing with the other refurbs it likely will go down around 1/30 after Mickey and Minnie’s opens.

It's now up through, at least, the 25th. So, at most you'd miss a day. However, I agree it looks likely they are keeping it up till MMR opens.

We actually moved our trip from early February to early January, primarily to catch haunted mansion holiday AND avoid some of the other refurbs.

Wait...they aren't taking Haunted Mansion Holiday down until LATE January?! I was assuming the regular version would be back up by our trip in early February. Ugh.

It seems that they are doing things differently this year, taking Small World down first and then HMH. Not sure the reasoning but many because Indy is going down for a length refurb and they need more desirable rides open?

HMH finally showed up on the refurb list beginning 1/30. Guessing it comes back on 2/10 - not official, just a hunch based on how long it's taken in the past.

I'm honestly a little bummed about this. HMH is cute and all, but it already lasts way too long IMO. I get why they're keeping it open, in hopes to divert the crowds while some of the other big rides are being refurbed, but I'm still going to pout a tiny bit about it. Was hoping it would be back to regular HM when I come in late January, since it's one of my favorite rides, but alas... I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder...

2/10 is our last day in the parks. Maybe we'll get lucky!

This is me. I looked at several past years of closures to remove the NBC overlay and figured with the last week of January it would be back open in its original HM form. That'll teach me to try and use past data to make a prediction. I guess at least it'll be open when we are there, but it'll probably be a one and done with the NBC overlay still going. I've done that version once before and didn't care for it. But will ride at least once to see the Hatbox Ghost.

I'm relieved to see that RSR will reopen just in time for my planned park days.

Does anyone know if the iasw clock parade still happens when the ride is down for refurb (i.e holiday overlay removal)? The normal clock going off/music, not any of the holiday decorations or lights.
