Hey, I have a quick question:

I can either go in January or June to DLP and I'm not sure which best to choose:

January (this is only if exams allow, would be 17th-20th)
+only £260 by eurostar for the cheyenne (2 nights)
+extra day and night free (making ^ 3 nignts)
+empty parks (kindof)
+extra magic hours
+15th decorations
+been before at around the same and the cold doesn't really bother me as long as I have a thick coat
+will get to go on crush's coaster, cars rally and hopefully tower of terror if it is open in time for the first times in paris
-no stitch attraction

June (probably mid june when i've finished my summer exams)
+warmer
+will have both tower of terror and the stitch attraction
+can definately go at this time since school and exams will no longer be a constraint
-no 15th decorations
-by last years prices would be more expensive and its too early to get prices for june 08

There's my argument for either time, what do you think?

I would prefer to go when its warmer but its soo much cheaper in january and i really want to see the decorations (only because I'm a disney freak) but again, annoyingly, january is only if i do not have exams on at least the last day of study leave

My vote would be for June for the reasons you've given. Mainly ToT and Stitch along with the warmer weather :goodvibes

June is my choice.
January would be way too cold, days are shorter and you would not have much fun if it snows - well i wouldnt  lol

I would go for June, it will be a great way to celebrate the end of your exams and a reward to your self.

I posted about going in early Jan and got some good replies. I'm still undecided (I'm pregnant so either go then or wait until the baby is born and a bit older - want to take my 2.5 yr old DD before though really).

Seeing your post and the fact it's so cold outside today and it's making me feel VERY cold, I think I might have to review. I just don't fancy walking around in the bitter cold every day for 5 days - and then what happens if it snows/rains - could get v wet - prob not advisable when about 24 weeks pregnant!!

It's a bit sad coming to this decision (could change my mind yet!!) as it means it will probably be another 2 years before we get!!

Hope you make your decision soon - you will get a better deal in Jan I think but June would be better weather wise and shouldn't be too busy!

Hmm.. I'm starting to think more June wise now.... also because if my friend wants to/ is allowed then we can go together since at least I will be 18 by June.

Does anyone know if any deals usually run in june like the extra day and night or the 15% off?

Oh yeah, are the decorations still going to be up even though the 15th celebration technically ends in april?

EDIT: Will the Once Upon A Dream parade still be running in June or will they change it back to the old one?

January all the way!!!:rotfl: Characters to yourself just about...you get to stay on rides and not get off!!.....superb...I would NEVER consider a warmer time cause its too busy........

mind you I'm a hardy Highlander and used to the boltic conditions!!!!:rotfl2:

Hi,

For me it would be january.
Yes, it's cold, and it may be raining and snowing BUT I had really great holidays in january :very few people in the park, almost no queue (5/10 min, 20 maximum). I remember one very cold day, we did big thunder moutain 8 times (yes 8), staying in the train, without getting off : there was nobody more waiting. This situation often occurs in january...

In June it is not overcrowed yet, but some children are already on holiday...

Hi Calleigh and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:

Thanks Cyrano.
I just discovered this forum about Disney because I am planning my wedding in WDW. I saw there was a Disneyland paris section, and as I've been there many time, I think I could help.:)

Ooh, I'm sooooo undicided now!

As said in the first post I went last year at about the same time (maybe one or two days either side) so I know how cold it can be and how wet, I was there on an extremely windy day and the majority of rides in the studios were shut down because they were scared that the signs would be blown down and fall on people.

January also really depends on the dates that my ICT teacher sets for our 10 hour exam, since we can't spend more that 2 1/2 hours at the computer at a time and they have to plan it around all the other exams we're doing. For all I know, I may have to go in June (then I can ask for a mass of pins to trade for my 18th birthday:yay: )

I'd go for June if it were me. :) Just think, all your exams will be out of the way and it will be warmer with light, sunny evenings.

They are continuing the 15th Celebrations after April so the decorations will need to stay up for Candleabration and the parade will be there for a while yet.

I saw there was a Disneyland paris section, and as I've been there many time, I think I could help.:)
Oh, yes please, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

I think I would go for Jan as I think TOT will be open then. The price is so good.
