We're deciding between the two for next year!

We would like to go before the prices go up for the next season, which I believe is around Feb. 12.

Which would you pick and why? Thanks!

We have done very early January (1-5) and mid-Feb (12-16).
Both were great! The weather wasn't bad, sweatshirts in the evening, but it can get a bit chillier than that.

For the most part on our Feb trip we walked on to every ride.
EXCEPT ON THE 16th!!!

That year it was a Monday... we didn't know it was the day after the Daytona 500 (usually in mid Feb). I think everyone who went to Daytona, came to Magic Kingdom that day!!

The crowd got worse and worse as the day went on!! You couldn't even walk around the slow crowds, every lane was packed! It was not fun. It was our MK day, no park hoppers, so we could either deal or home. :sad2:

It's also quite busy around Presidents day & MLK day... if you avoid those times you should have an amazing crowd free trip!

I do not know if taking children out of school is a concern for your traveling party or not but I would suggest late January. My husband and I love going to WDW during this time of year. The weather is much better than it is in Boston during late January and the crowds are low and the rates are value season. Late January after the marathon and holdiays is the way to go.

We like early January....we check in on the 1st and check out the day before school starts for the Spring. It is a great time of year!

The DVC's low season ends on February 15, 2007.

We went this past January 17-23 and loved it! Crowds were non-existant, weather was mild -- jeans and a t-shirt in the day were very comfortable with a jacket or sweatshirt at night. It was a little cold for swimming in the evening, but okay for daytime. It did get chilly one day we were there, but the day we left it was close to 80 and a little humid.

Also, we did a day trip to the Magic Kingdom in 2001 on Feb. 14. Walked onto just about every ride and we hit all the rides. So both were good times for us. It was mid 70s-mid 80s our whole trip to Florida that time too.

Hope this helps!
