January Marathon??

I know it's happening the 9th-11th but how does it affect the crowds at parks. Is there a listing ahead of time of which parks they run through and when? Any comments appreciated.

I have a friend that runs the marathon, and they spend the week there. He says there are NO crowds at all. He has been at other times, including Feb. (not pres.wknd), and says he will never go at another time, even is willing to have his kids miss school.

The marathon starts in Epcot about 6AM. Goes to MK, then AK, then WWoS, then DS and then back to Epcot. 1/2 marathon ends after MK in the Pluto parking lot. The longest time to complete the marathon is 7 hours. 1/2 marathon 3.5 hours. The Disney Sports website has a map of the route.

Is it run on 1 day?? I assume perhaps Saturday?? What Disney Sports website??

There is a 5K race in Epcot on Saturday, Jan 10. The marathon and 1/2 marathon run on Sunday, Jan 11.
