January in NE and my windows are still open!!!

Loved the mild day today! Had the windows open to get rid of the throw-up bug the kids had last week..

Haven't seen you around lately Kim, how are you doing? Aren't you a travel agent or something now? Forgive me if it's wrong but I keep losing brain cells every day...

Hey there Jill!

I am well..thanks for asking! You are right..I am a Disney TA now and have been for the last 1 1/2 years! It is going great but I have noticed my time here is dwindling! LOL I am here a lot still but lurk a bit more now! You know, when you "do" Disney all day at the computer you kind of loose the "need" to talk "all things Disney" on your spare time! Don't get me wrong....I eat, sleep and drink Disney and love every minute of it....I just don't find myself here as much and I really miss it!

I had the windows open today, too. Now it's raining and it's cold. The deck is covered with ice and it always scares me that the dogs will go sliding down the stairs when they go out.

It's gotten wicked windy & started sleeting & snowing here within the last hour!
wow! the temp has really dropped & fast!

We need more snow. Maybe it will snow nonstop all day. So I can wake up tomorrow to 30 inches.

Ooohh... please pardon the vent
the state plow guy just left at least 3 1/2 feet of packed snow at the foot of our driveway! And I mean it is packed & stacked solid
we broke our heavy duty snow shovel trying to remove it. Usually it is no problem to shovel the normal snow plow build up & DH & DS16 can get the drive, cars & sidewalk cleared in no more than an hour, even in heavy snow
our regular private plow person was kind enough to come here--we were not on his rotation schedule--but DS16 is still going to be almost 3 hrs late for work & it will cost us extra $$ to have had Scott out here--
considering the state guy had a small field & unused parking lot to pile it in, not to mention all the frontage of my yard, it was real stupid!
I called the Hwy Dept & they were polite but acted as if I were complaining about regular plow pile up. I think I will call back tomorrow to clarify--I used to work as a dispatcher for a trucking co, we were privately contracted to plow for a good sized city, so after having driven around seeing what good jobs & bad work is I think I know the difference. Actually, you don't need a degree to figure it out. Oh, & I took pics

Ah, well, milder weather the last half of the week!
there I'm calmer now
but if he does it again he is gonna meet an irate fat lady with a scathing vocabulary!
of course it will be said in the most saccahrinely sweet voice
