:earsgirl: We are trying to plan a family trip and have to go in Jan. I am just a little worried about the weather the children are 18, 3, and 4 so Jan is the only time other than spring break that the oldest is out without crowds and my other daughter will be having her 5th birthday when we are there. My only concern is that the weather won't be good and is it true the water parks will be closed I am not sure whick pass to get and we are hoping for 10 days but are going for at least 7 I haven't been since 94 and the ODD not since 94 so we will have a lot of catching up to do

I have been in January 3 times-going on 4. The weather can be very unpredictable from winter coats to bathing suits! We rent a house with all of us, so swimming in a heated pool is great for the kids. I would do a comp. of tickets to see what you need. Will you be going again within a year? If so an AP would make better sense. If not perhaps a 10 day hopper with no exp. so that whatever you do not use you don't lose. I would get a hopper so that you can between parks if you want to, otherwise for each park you enter in one day you will be charged a day. E.g. If you go to AK in the morning and MGM in the afternoon and then head on over to EPCOT for Illuminations and dinner you will be charged 3 days vs. hopper that will only charge you one day. One water park will most likely be open, they usually close one for rehab during this time. Good luck and have fun! :wizard:
