January cruise - shorts, swimsuits?

I searched and saw the pools are heated onboard.

Is it typically warm enough to wear shorts onboard, though?

Or will we need long pants and even light jackets?

What about CC? I know the water might be cold, but is it typically warm enough to lay out in a swimsuit and enjoy the sun?

Thanks so much!

We always cruise in January and have always had good weather most of the time. But, we are from Michigan so 60's is "balmy" to us!! Seriously, the chilliest weather we've had was in Port Canaveral but even then we wore shorts/t-shirts during the day, then slacks/light jacket or sweatshirt at night. On the cruises we've been on we've always spent time by the pools, in the hot tubs, etc. The further south we went, the warmer it got. I remember shopping in St. Martin, I was too warm actually. We've had good weather twice at CC (once we weren't able to dock because of the wind and waves). The first trip we spent time at the adult beach, sunning and swimming and drinking foo-foo drinks, it was great! The other time we were there we had my parents with us who did not want to swim so we basically just walked around, but in shorts. Many people were swimming though. DH and I love cruising in January, we will be on the Mariner of the Seas next January, can't wait!!!

We also cruised in January. We did the land and sea package. Our time at Disney was spent with shorts and sweatshirts or t-shirts and jeans. On the ship at the ports it was warm enough for shorts and we even swam. We also are from the north (OH) so the weather was great. If I remember right the temp at CC was in the 80's. We would defineately go again that time of year. :)

We cruised just this past January, and the weather was great. I wasn't sure what the weather was going to be like, so I did take some jeans, just in case it get chilly. I ended up not needing them at all. The weather was very nice the whole time we were there. The water at CC was a little chilly at first, but it didn't take long to get used to!

We have taken 2 eastern cruises, both in January - love that time of year, not too crowded & great prices!

Weather in Port Canaveral was cool both times, capris + sweatshirts were fine. And then warmer weather the remainder of the trip, I was actually really, really hot when we were in St Martin this past year. Evenings were cool however, I found that we needed sweaters even in the dining room & theaters due to very, very cool air conditioning.

Have a great trip! Planning is half the fun!

we swam in each port and wore shorts/swimsuits the whole time. You will be plenty warm enough.

In Jan of '03 we took the Western cruise and it was chilly in Key West, too windy to anchor in Grand Cayman, hot in Cozumel and chilly on CC. Check out the link below for some pics of CC that day..

We have also done the Eastern in February and the weather was fantastic everywhere......

We just did the 3 day this past January and had wonderful weather....high 70's and low 80's all around!!!
