January Availability - where ??

Does this seem weird to anyone else. Except for the resorts outside of the parks, and a smattering of one day here or there , I searched the whole month of January and there is nothing for a studio, one bed or two bed.

What's up with that???

That is only two months away so you are going to have limited rooms.

It’s very popular through marathon weekend and then you have MLK holiday.

Plus 60 days or less from check in, DVC can take rooms and offer them for breakage inventory.

I have found it to be like this the last few years since I started booking January.

We have a trip planned for Jan 20-24 at Riviera. When they announced that the skyliner was going to be down beginning the 22nd, I immediately started trying to move our reservation. The only thing available was SSR which we really didn't want. This was back in August, so still 5 months ahead of time. I had waitlists in, I stalked - nothing. After a few weeks SSR wasn't even coming up. I finally just gave up. My husband really wants to stay at Riviera anyway and I'm curious to see how we like it, but I did find it odd that there was so little availability for late January. I guess it just goes to show that there really are no slow times at WDW anymore.

Now, I'm just hoping I can snag an ADR at Topolino while we are there.

I should have added we booked our ressie about 6 months ago. So, I have been tracking this all these months and do I have a waitlist. Our actual ressie is for the OKW studio and we really wanted BWV. I should be grateful we have something anyway
