Hey everyone! Just booked this cruise. It will be me Curtis (40) and Lucas (28). It's my third DCL cruise and Lucas' second. First on the Dream for both! This is also our honeymoon cruise  We are getting married at WDW on Jan 6th! Can't wait!!:yay:

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise!

Hello! We are on this cruise too. I had previously started a thread on it but no one had replied and then I think it kind of got lost!

We have two couples on this cruise- My husband and I and then my husband's brother and his wife.

This will be our 6th Disney cruise but it will be the other couple's first cruise ever.

This is the first time I am trying something daring which is leaving our two boys (ages 13 and 10 by that time) home with grandparents! They love Disney cruises and are going to be very jealous as they have always come but this time we are trying a no kids cruise for a short getaway.

We are huge Disney fans so of course it is a Disney cruise whether with kids or not. We are excited to take the siblings on their first cruise and they need a short getaway as well from their brood of children. This is definitely going to be a cruise to remember!

Welcome aboard! I was starting to wonder if we were the only ones on this cruise. Haha.

Just checking in, my wife and I will be on this cruise breaking up our 2 week stay @ WDW right in the middle .... It will be our first cruise so we are really excited!!! Any advise for first time Disney cruisers?

Welcome aboard! Wow, first one. That's very exciting. Biggest piece of advice is to just have fun. There is soooo much to do and see and on a three night cruise there is no way to experience it all. Just do what you can but don't forget to have fun! Definitely read the DIS board and you'll get a lot of information. Trip reports are also a great source of info. If you have specific questions, I'm happy to help out.

Hiii, this will be our 2nd Disney Cruise (my husband and I). Our first one was a birthday surprise for him last March on the Dream - his reaction when we exited for the airport to fly down to Florida was worth all the planning but his face when Goofy called him the morning of the cruise was the icing on the cake!

This year we are surprising our families!!! I don't quite know how we are going to spring it on them yet, but I am so excited! It's a first cruise ever for all but one of them. I've been working on door magnets and thought about participating in the FE. It'll be a lot of work because I'll have to do it for 3 staterooms (8 people) and don't have a lot of free time, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

I wanted to know if there was a thread started about the FE (or if this is the place) - I wanted to gauge how many might be participating. We had no idea about door magnets or FE last year, so I don't want to be left out again! haha.

Welcome aboard! To my knowledge there has not been an FE thread started yet. I know we aren't interested in participating but others may be. Hopefully we'll get more folks signed up for the cruise (but not too many hehe) soon so you can get one set up!:thumbsup2

Hello All, we too will be cruising on this 3 Day trip. This will be our 5th cruise with Disney. :cool1: We have previously done 2 cruises on the Magic and this will be our 3rd cruise on the Dream. Just a little weekend getaway for the hubby and myself. :thumbsup2

Welcome aboard! Nice to see we're getting a few more folks. Less than a month till the PIF date and online check-in! At least for a few of us :). Anyone have anything planned? We aren't going to do any excursions but we are looking forward to trying dinner at Remy!

We have no plans at the moment, except to relax!! So we are just winging it.. We are PIF!
CC day I think we might rent bikes and ride around the island. I know that water will be too cold for us!!! :cold:

Hi everyone! We are getting closer and closer! :cool1:

We just booked the 15 night Panama Canal cruise in May. Sooooo excited!

We were able to book dinner at Remy on the second night. :yay: Anyone else make any reservations or excursions?

Hi All:
My husband, daughter, her boyfriend and I just joined this cruise. My daughter and I have cruised before on the Dream - most recently on the 9/29 DVC member cruise.

We would love to participate in an FE - had great fun with it in Sept. I can keep a list going, if wanted - as I don't think one is started yet.

Look forward to meeting you all.

I don't believe an FE list has been started yet. Seems like this cruise is pretty empty! I looked and it seems like just about every catagory of stateroom is still available for booking plus cabanas are still available on Castaway Cay day! I'm certainly not going to be upset if the cruise stays this empty. More Mickey bars for me! :rotfl:

Thanks for the welcome...I won't be disappointed if it stays empty either - The vacation club cruise had approx. 2600 aboard & was excellent. Not crowded at all
This cruise, I wanted adjoining cabins and had several choices - figured it was an off time to travel so maybe why still lots available.
Will be great on Castaway Cay... :beach:

Hi everyone. Just checking in again since it has been quite awhile since I have posted on here. It does seem pretty empty!

We are still going though! I wonder if any discounts will come out if it is really that empty? Probably with my luck they will bring back the kids sail free just because we are leaving the kids with grandma and doing a kids free vacay for once! lol.

It is my husband and I and my brother in law and sister in law in another room. I have not gotten my sister in law on the dis yet but I should really make her get on here.

I would be interested in fish extenders if other people want to do it. Did anyone start a facebook group for this cruise yet? I was on another cruise where they organized fe through facebook and it was really easy to follow along what was going on. I am not sure how to set up a group with inviting people who aren't already part of my friends list. Maybe someone else could figure it out.

I just joined the cruise - traveling with husband, adult daughter and her boyfriend. I just figured out the DIS board - though I have been reading them for years - I was part of a FE group on the Member Cruise 9/29 - and would love to do it again. Our groups were set up on the DIS board using a secure googledoc. I have also seem them on Facebook - I am willing to try to set one up either place.

I checked the Disney Cruise Facebook Meet and Greet pages - this cruise did not have one, but moderator has help to set one up...so Disney Dream January 9, 2014 is now a group page. I hope that helps.

Thanks for setting that up! Could you post a link on here? Thanks!

I am hoping they post some discounts as well, maybe a good military discount but I would expect some *GT rates eventually.

We've never been on the new ships so it would be great if it was empty and we could explore without the crowds.
