I'm on a Merrytime Cruise in just about 7 days now, and I did organize a "Candy Exchange" on that cruise. We use Fish Extenders to give out local treats or snacks. We have a small group on the Merrytime cruise, and yesterday I went out and bought the treats from "our" (Dayton OH's) very own chocolate company, Esther Price. I am not from Dayton, but I know quite a few long timers who simply refer to the candy as "Esther" because they knew and loved the founder!

If there is interest in a Candy Exchange, just let me know here, and I will contact you. On this year's DVC Member Cruise there were 32 participants, and I divided the group into 4 smaller groups, so no one gets a sugar overload. In the exchange we include some history about the candies. In the past we've received such things as "orange flavored popcorn from Florida" "Cheese Straws from Mississippi" "Salt water Taffy from the Jersey Shore as well as Salt Lake City" and "Spud shaped candies from Idaho!" IF you have any allergies, please tell me.

Looking forward to meeting people on this cruise. It's very port intensive! I am glad for the single day at sea though, I do love sea days!

Unless Cathy comes back to this board and wants to do the FE, what do you all want to do for group size and cut off time? I would not go later than January 20th and I am happy with whatever size the group is. If you would like to join the group, you need to post your names of adults and if children, boys or girls and their ages, cabin numbers, if available. Some FEs include allergies, celebrations.

We are off the Magic! What a great Merrytime Cruise! Great weather, great all around experience!

We had a small, but delicious Candy Exchange. If anyone is interested. Post here, or PM me. We would give local candy or snacks, and give a print out of the history of the company. If you have allergies, please note in your response to me.

I will cut sign ups at Jan 17, so maybe some last minute people can join. I would limit the number to around 6-8 in each group, but that does not seem to be a problem!

We had an early Premiere of The Force Awakens yesterday. We saw it in the Walt Disney theater at 7 PM, but it was shown many times. It was great!

Please still count cabin 7080 and 7082 still in. Thank you so much ruttie2 for stepping up and keeping us organized! I was getting concerned too and so really thank you for getting us back organized. Any thought about when we will make the cutoff? I vote for keeping us in one group if we keep with current numbers as I think this is a very manageable list currently. This is one of those special memories that my kids talk about from our time on the "Mickey's boat" and we really look forward to our fe fun! Hope everyone has a... Magical day!!
